motel from 50s done over

The hall ways (which are outside) was super noisy when anyone walked by. Clean rooms, but kind of funky & old. Decent, but I wouldn't be excited to stay there again. In the part of Vancouver, called, "Little Saigon". It was fine in a pinch, but I wouldn't be excited to go back.

A Nice Stay

Stayed at this hotel for three nights. The bed was very comfortable. They put out a real nice breakfast. The location is a bit busy, when you step outside the lobby your faced with five lanes of traffic zipping by. Pretty quiet in the room though. Wireless internet worked well. Good value for the area and fairly close to downtown and the Skytrain.

Good Value

Room was clean. The night-time desk guy was great- friendly and helpful. The morning woman not so much. Location isn't super close to downtown but it's close to public transportation so not too bad. The garden in the center courtyard is nice and peaceful, a vast difference from the McDonald's and constant car traffic outside the hotel. Breakfast hours are pretty ridiculous, they should at least go to 10/10:30. Overall, though, a good experience for the cost.

Do the Suspension Bridge- it's incredible! Only about 20 min drive (unless you stop and enjoy Stanley Park) from hotel.

Vancouver Value

While this hotel is outside of the city, the city bus can be taken to downtown only 1 block away. Good continental breakfast with cereal, toast, bagels, oatmeal, milk, coffee, juice and a variety of jams and peanut butter. Pretty gardens in the courtyard. We were not planning to spend a lot of time inside our room, so the Days Inn suited us. It was clean and quiet in a safe area.

Restful sleep, near transit

Not the biggest fanciest rooms ever, but good if all you need is somewhere to sleep before going out. My only real complaint would be that the breakfast room is not a good experience - very cramped if the hotel is full. Otherwise everything was fine. The inner courtyard is nice considering how plain it looks from outside.

Decent if you just need a place to sleep

This hotel was fine if you were just visiting the area and only spent a few hours a night at the hotel to sleep. There is complimentary breakfast from 6:30-9:30am (I wish it was a bit later, until 10am at least). The biggest issue I had with the hotel was the Wifi. It was terrible and unusable the whole time I was there. I could only get on for a minute at a time without it going down. However, it really was not a big deal. It is convenient in terms of public transport to the downtown of Vancouver. Secondly, the front desk person (I'm not sure of his name - he is an Asian male) was VERY VERY helpful. He gave me so much detailed information about how to get access to bus passes, etc. The information was very valuable. He is the reason I gave the hotel as high of a rating as I did. Again, the hotel is fine if you just need a place to sleep.
