The Days In -- Vancouver Downtown offers modern comforts and easy access to tourist attractions and the business and financial districts at a great value. The central location means that world-class shopping, restaurants, and entertainment are only blocks away. Likewise, business travelers appreciate being at the heart of the financial distract and the close proximity of the Vancouver Convention Centre. Attractions and venues too far for a casual stroll can often be accessed by Canada Line's speedy skytrain, comprehensive bus system or seabus.

Location

Only one block from the American consulate, and minutes from the Vancouver Convention Centre, this is a great location for business travelers. Leisure travelers enjoy the convenience and proximity to cosmopolitan boutiques, exciting tourist attractions, and world-class dining. Walk to many of them, or jump on the skytrain to get around the city fast. Stanley Park, English Bay, Canada Place, and even Capilano Suspension Bridge are all easy destinations.

Rooms

Warmly decorated one-bedroom suites and guest rooms offer modern amenities to keep guests connected, entertained and comfortable. High-quality bath products and complimentary bottled water are just two of the nice touches guests will find during their stay. Enjoy complimentary high-speed Internet access and flat-screen televisions in all rooms.

Property features

On-site Chelsea Restaurant is the perfect place for a quiet breakfast or lunch, and the accompanying Lounge or Smileys Public House are both great for unwinding at the end of the day. Corporate travelers can ask about complimentary room upgrades, shuttle drop off, and breakfast vouchers.

Average.

Great location but this Days Inn is much more dated than other ones I have stayed at recently. The room was quite dark and had a funky smell to it as well. Shower...low pressure and kept fluctuating in temperature. But the location is awesome..very close to everything!

Benign neglect attitude

Room was small but very clean. Street noise may be silenced by running the window fan, creating a white noise effect. Shower temp was menopausal (tepid to scalding in seconds). Hotel elevator was inoperable during our 3night/4day stay. I was disappointed that the hotel put two seniors on the sixth floor and did not offer breakfast discount coupons to us as they did to other guests.

Great One night stay

Stayed here for a last minute one night stay. They didn't have a working order elevator which was awful walking up to the 7th floor. But overall I was happy with our last minute booking.

Great Value for Budget Traveler

The hotel was well staffed with friendly people who helped me locate the various places I needed to go in downtown Vancouver. The location is great for the price, but keep in mind that the rooms are pretty simple (good for sleeping and working, but rather small in general.) I was pleased to see umbrellas were provided in-room which saves the hassle of flying with an umbrella to a rather rainy city. My last bit of advice would be to avoid heading east if you go exploring, as several blocks east brings you into the Downtown East Side, a neighborhood with some well known social problems.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Check out the Elephant and Castle pub just around the corner and north a block on Burrard Street for a good selection of beers and well priced menu of food options close to the hotel.

Great Location

While the hotel is in a great location, the standard room has poor ancient lighting so feels constrained (and my 4th floor room's window opened to a concrete building just a few feet away). The rooms also comes with the traditional AC/heater unit by the window so it's noisy and unfortunately ours didn't work. The hotel staff were great overall and offered to credit us for the trouble with the AC but unfortunately couldn't without going through this travel site first. That's a hassle so I'd recommend booking directly with the hotel in the future. Overall, if you're looking for a great location and good value and won't be in your room except to sleep (i.e., you don't mind a basic/anything-but-high-end room), it's a good choice.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

De Dutch is just a few blocks away and is a great breakfast spot on the water where you can watch float planes and boats come and go.

Very good location

We enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient. The room was clean. Just a minor house keeping point is that one day, the house keepers forgot to leave coffee cups in our room.
