nice hotel

It is a nice hotel be honest. I travelled with my friend to Vancouver during my spring break and the hotel did provide high quality service. I really like the hotel personally. But the only thing is that is a little bit far from waterfront skytrain station. It took me to walk about 10 to 15 mins. Anyways this is my own feeling.

Nice room, nice view

We started with a double room because our daughter was with us, but switched to a king room after one night. Definitely better to stay in one of the king rooms. They're much more spacious and comfortable and have views of the water. There is a nice bar and restaurant in the hotel. Parking was expensive, but there were car rental places nearby so you could theoretically get a car for only the days you need one and save a little that way. The location is a bit out of the way, but if you don't mind a healthy walk, you can get to Robson Street, the art museum, and Stanley Park without a car.

Amazing location and view

Brand new hotel...amazing rooms and great location! We got a great rate on the room as part of a "grand opening" discount. The room was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was amazing. The towels were still brand new, so we ended up with some fuzz residue...but that's not something to complain about. The hotel's within walking distance to a number of chic cafés and restaurants, many of the Olympic venues, the local transit (Trans Link), Gastown (we had dinner at The Black Frog Pub...the yam fries were delicious!), and Stanley Park. The view from our room (9th floor, NE facing) was incredible. It's worth walking from the hotel to the "Aqua Bus" for a morning at Granville Public Market, too. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Especially [...] and [...] at the front desk. We totally enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone! Of all the places we've stayed in downtown Vancouver, this is at the top!

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Kitty-corner to the hotel is a high-end market called Urban Fare. They have great hot meals to go as well as a sit-down restaurant/café. I grabbed some sushi for a quick dinner one evening and wound up going back to stock up for a picnic lunch the next day. It's very convenient, and great quality!

Nice hotel

We stayed at Coast Coal prior to departing for an Alaskan cruise. The hotel is close to the cruise ship dock and close to the Robson and Gastown shopping districts Everything was new and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Prestige is the restaurant and has a contemporary feel just like the rest of the hotel. The pool, hot tub and fitness center were all nice too.

Unbeatable location for the price

The location was wonderful. The hotel is in the heart of so many tourist attractions. We walked, biked around Stanley Park and experimented with Vancouver's public transit. Wine shops, trendy cafes and many eateries were among some of the places where we stopped.

Boxing Day stayh

Good hotel for boxing day as location is only a few blocks away. Room was fine, clean, large enough. Good bathtub for soaking. Pool is outside, which heated or not, makes no sense. Exercise room is small, inadequate. Meals were quite good - seafood chowder is a winner. Service was absolutely excellent from beginning to end, and despite lack of concierge, informed about where to go for good eats.

Would return in a heartbeat!!!

Excellent room, new, clean, wonderful view of the ocean inlet. If your not looking for the hotel;you'll walk right by it, thinking that it is a office building. But once up into your room, you will be pleasantly surprised!! I would really stay there again.
