Century Plaza Hotel and Spa

The hotel is beautiful and close to everything in downtown Vancouver. The staff was especially friendly and the rooms are wonderful!

The doors have a tendency to slam, which can really wake you up if people next to you are up late. Other than that, great room, decent breakfast, good location.

Room was clean and but the shower was not working almost every time. When somebody in the room beside uses the shower it completely stops the shower in our room. Complained the first day but no change. Had to live with it. Hotel is right in the city of Vancouver, walkable to to almost all restaurants and entertainment place. Internet access comes with a charge per night. The front desk did not tell me about the charge when they handed over the id and password. While checking out we realized the charge. Overall its Okay experience.

I upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite. There was only one small tv in the living room and none in the bedroom. In addition, for $9cad, we bought wireless internet access for the night. The signal was very weak and cut out frequently in the living room but was strong in the bedroom. When I wanted to watch tv and my partner wanted to be online, we had to be in separate rooms. The parking charge ($17cad per day) was higher than other similar hotels in the same area of downtown Vancouver. Overall, I was disappointed in this hotel and see no reason to stay here again when other nearby hotels offer more convenience for the price. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable!

renovated vancouver landmark, located in the heart of downtown. close to shopping, restaurants and theatres and located right next to st.paul's hospital. very friendly staff and wonderful spa.

We have been to Vancouver a number of times for long weekends. We never found a hotel that we would like to go back for our next visit.... until now. The Century Plaza was located 2 blocks from Robson Street, The Shopping street. Buses were convenient, as well as taxi and hotel parking. There were numerous restaurants around us. We did not try the spa, but it looked very nice, with reasonable rates for a spa. The pool was warm, although the air around it was cold. The pool was in the basement, and not the prettiest, but we spent about 3 hours each day in the water with our toddler and had a lot of fun. The dressing room was very nice. The staff was helpful and accommodating. We had a massive room that had 2 king beds, sofa,and full kitchen with microwave and coffee maker. We had breakfast and at least one other meal in the room. We plan to go back to this hotel on our next visit.

Situated in the heart of Vancouver's premier shopping district near the art gallery, we were very impressed by the renovations made to this hotel to create a modern, trendy atmosphere. We enjoyed taking advantage of the cafe each day for breakfast, after sampling the excellent food choices on the menu. And what a lovely addition to have an upscale day spa adjoining the lobby. Excellent value for a premier location, we highly recommend this hotel.

Lobby fantastic, hotel rooms somewhat dated. Inner city location saved this old gem... Staff attitude varied, not so helpful in the mornings...

The hotel is centrally located to Robson Street, Yaletown, and Granville Island. The room (2508) was big enough and the view was superb. The "kitchenette" consisted of a small refrigerator, coffee maker, electric tea kettle, an microwave. No stove-top or heating element of any kind. The room heating control did not function and the hot water was off because of a burst pipe. When it came back on it was only luke-warm. The hotel is located adjacent to a major hospital and there was emergency vehicle siren noise all day. Except for the hot water problem and the noise, the hotel is a good value for the price.
