NIce place to stay in Vancouver

This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Vancouver. It is an older building, but has been recently remodeled. We had a large room with an over-sized bath. Breakfast is included and is cooked fresh with many choices. The only negative is the parking which was $19/day, but standard for a downtown hotel and probably less than some others. We would go back again.

Good Value

Great location, 20 minute walking to convention center. Good resturants nearby. Under some construction but it was not an inconvenience since I was in conference most of the day. Views were good in spite of construction curtain. Kitchenette a real plus and hotel breakfast was adequate. Simple choices of fruit, breads, toast, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit and hot dishes like eggs, oatmeal and potatoes. Nothing special but adequate. Coffee was not good but I am partial to espresso. staff very helpful and restarant recommendations are very good. free wireless is a plus. Very sapicous rooms and good to work from.

Under Construction

The hotel was wrappend in a green net. Loud construction work was going on from 8am to 5pm. The gym was just a regular hotel room with two training units. The pool was offsite - a ten minute walk. None of this was announced before the arrival and there was no discount.

Good location at a great price

The hotel is located on Hornby within walking distance of downtown Vancouver and Granville Island. Some outside renovation was going on, but did not disturb at all. Hotel provides a great breakfast included in the price and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed there for 10 days.

Several dining options were available at Davie Street, such as some Greek restaurants (very reasonably priced) and La Brasserie (more expensive French and German cuisine).

Average hotel but with good breakfast

The hotel is a little old. you could see the age in the carpet, furniture, tv etc. However the staff was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was great value. Parking at the hotel is pricey but i guess that is the price to stay in downtown.

Would definitely go back again

Hotel within reasonable walking distance of Canada Line station so no taxi needed. We were on 21 storey with lovely views from our balcony. Hotel clean and comfortable just unfortunate it is subject to maintenace so pool complex was not open. Breakfast had reasonable but limited selection e.g. no bacon and generally only scrambled egg. Staff were very friendly and check in and check out very efficient. Close to ferry to Granville Island and within 10 minute gentle walk to Robson Street. Would definitely use again if going back to Vancouver.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

If you decide to hire a bike to tour Stanley Park shop around as the one recommended by the info booth at the park is expensive and our tandem had a soft tyre so maintenance is a worry. Would recommend this activity as something to do on a nice day.
