Great Suite Hotel
This hotel has something like 80% of it's rooms as 2 room suites. It is a fantastic bargin. We had 3 people in our room and each had their own bed. Would be fabulous for families to be sure. Each room had 2 TV's, microwave, refrig. The attached restaurant was a little pricey for my taste. Bacon and egg breakfast was $9.50 canadian. There was a restaurant in the Howard Johnson's 1/2 a block a way that was more reasonable. Don't know if they had breakfast. Also a restaurant in the Hodiday Inn, also 1/2 block a way but up a hill. But bakc to the room...it was great!!

Great price for the more adventurous traveler on the dime
This was the perfect hotel for me: relatively inexpensive, no frills, in an optimal spot between downtown and more lively places, like the gayborhood, ethnic restaurants, sketchy but interesting stretches of cityskape. Vancouver is very walkable, and the hotel location is perfect for heading into different areas of the city with different flavors. Across the street is the tiny Templeton, a 50s diner with an astonishing selection of vegetarian dishes among classic meaty ones. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. But this is no fancy hotel, and the area's local characters make it so whiny internet-reviewer-types stay away. If I were to come back to Vancouver (which I really want to) I'd come here.

Glad to have found this hotel, central to Davie Village
My first visit to Vancouver British Columbia and I stayed here and am glad I did. Close to Davie Village (the Gay part of town) and close to a car rental - just down the street. Parking garage, onsite restaurant and the staff were very helpful and cheerful. Very quiet large room and had a beautiful view from the balcony. Vancouver is really nice. I am sorry I waited so long before visiting. Took a cruise ship here and flew back to San Francisco. I would stay here again.

Walk west to Davie Street and then right up to Stepho's Souvlaka Greek Taverna for some great food. Go early as a line for this place is long and it fills up fast. 1124 Davie Street (Calamari and steamed clams)

Good room for the price
I was very pleased with my stay except for two items. One was the noise created by the 'peep shows at all hours of the night. Second was the fact that I was only able to access the internet one time from my room and never again.

I was fortunate to have an upgrade to the 15th floor by a nice front desk person named [...]and this definitely improved my visit. The room was much nicer than I expected for the price and spotless. Also being centrally located was very convenient. I didn't use the restaurant but it looked world class.
