A Bit Noisy

If you're looking for a quiet place with good room service; this may not be your 1st choice. it was pretty noisy; from traffic, people in hall talking loudly on cell phones and people just hanging out. Reception staff was a bit unfriendly, felt like I was imposing on their time by checking in. I had to physically go downstairs to order my room service because I couldn't get anyone via phone. When my meal came, it was cold. I ordered a steak (medium well), it came practically raw. But here's the fun part -they gave me a plastic fork in which to eat my raw steak (don't know if anyone's ever tried to eat a steak w/plastic - no easy feat). Oh, if on business and need adequate lighting for grooming - you might be very disappointed. Lighting in vanity area was just above the flicker of a candle (actually a few candles would have done a better job). If you're looking for a lively place to stay and don't plan to order room service, then this might be okay place to stay.

3.5 Star Stay, Good Service, Good Food

Enjoyable Stay...but.....on website it indicated 2 restaurants, one of the 2 was under reno's tho! They should have indicated this on website. Good Service, Pantry food was surprisinly really good, no complaints on food quality for dinner and breakfast. Had atrium room overlooking pool. If you have kids, they music from banquet rooms was very loud until 1am.

Not as nice as you think

Most of the rooms overlook the pool, which tends to be noisy well past 10pm. Hotel staff closed the pool, but guests stayed in common area talking and the noise echoes into the rooms. The doors do not fit close to the carpet which doesn't help.

PACIFIC INN

The hotel was like a Mexican getaway. Scenery, balcony and big windows created a relaxing atomosphere and nice getaway for two.We spent one day at White Rock, which was close, we were there within 10 minutes. It was a nice atmosphere with shops and restaurants by the ocean. A peaceful getaway. The guys loved the cars and motorbikes parading up and down the street. Girls just leave them to look and go do a bit of shopping. At the hotel, we enjoyed sitting on the big couch under the window ceiling with our delicious appetizers and fruity drinks. The bad service and overcooked food at the formal dining area were a disappointment. Take note that there is a Wal-Mart within 5 minutes that is opened at 6:00am to beat those crowds and to get those small items.(groceries for fridge etc.) Hotel is close enough to shopping, big mall within 10 minutes- yet close enough to ocean that it is secluded there. Loved its location. No noise, traffic, or chaos!! For the gamblers, try the Cloverdale- about 15 minutes away, on highway so traffic is limited and it even has a racetrack!!

One too many in the bed

My husband and I were going to a party close by the Pacific Inn in White Rock so we decided to get a room for the night and make it a romantic getaway. We went to the Hotel before the party to pay for our room. We were in a hurry so we didn't unpack our bags, just left for the party. About 12:30 we returned tired and went directly to our room. What a surprise to find someone else in our paid for room. The desk clerk seemed puzzled and took forever to get us another room (queen size bed not King) and also wanted to charge us again!!! Checking out in the morning again they wanted to charge us. Thank goodness we had our paperwork handy. Nobody seemed to care about the inconvenience to us so I doubt we'll stay there again. Big Pink Paradise

This big pink hotel is just lovely, our room was quiet, and plenty big. The pool area is beautiful and quite an oasis. The check in staff were really friendly and helpful. A very nice experience!

Enjoy the many restaurants on the water front, but don't mist Iguana. Just very good food, for very reasonable prices.
