Vancouver Olympics Stay
We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Surrey for 2 nights during the Vancouver Olympics. The hotel was terrific, very clean, free breakfast was good (especially the cinnamon rolls!). The man working the desk was extremely helpful to us in terms of giving us directions to the SkyTrain stations/parking, as well as ordering taxis for us, which arrived very promptly. In addition, we were allowed to check-in prior to the official check-in time, which was very nice and quite unexpected.

Very Nice HIE
It was a very nice hotel. I wish I could have enjoyed it longer. We arrived at 2am and departed at 7am. We did get some nice sleep while we were there and they had a nice breakfast in the morning. Everything was clean and neat. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area. My only complaint is not specific to this hotel but all the hotels in the area. I stayed only one night (only a few hours), and the normal $175 rate was jacked up to $400 because of the olympics. This is ridiculous. I would have stayed two nights, but my budget was eaten up with the one night stay.

2nd stay
This was my second time staying at the hotel, previous stay being in February. Since the first stay, there has definitely been improvements at the hotel. The previous stay would have been ranked with 3 stars, missing some points on cleanliness. On the second visit, there were some improvements made in the hotel's appearance: new signs, fancy lights, and general cleanliness. The staff was friendly just as before, making the stay quite comfortable and pleasurable. The hotel is conveniently located right off the highway, making it convenient to visit friends in Surrey and neighboring cities. Definitely a hotel I would stay in again and recommend to others.
