Smelly Room!

Our room had a horrible odor! It smelled like stale, sweat from athletic shoes or shin gurards or stale cat urine. The hotel granted us a discount due to no other rooms being available. Needless to say, it was a long night!!

Decent Hotel to Stay in for a Night

The Super 8 in Revelstoke is about what you would expect from a two star hotel. The room was clean and it was a decent size. The small pool and hot tub are pluses for the price range, though again, they're nothing too fancy. The location is decent if you are traveling through town and you need to find a hotel for the night. There may be other hotels that are better located if you are interested in actually exploring the town. One small minus is that the hotel is located across the street from the railway. This means that there was some train noise, although I would suggest that it was no worse than what you would experience in a motel right on a highway. On the plus side for those traveling through town, the Super 8 shares a parking lot with a gas station and a Tim Hortons (in case you want anything more than the continental breakfast in the morning).

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Just up the road from the hotel is a neat little roadside restaurant called The Nomad. They serve everything from burgers and fries to wraps and other healthy fare. It was well worth the short walk we took from the hotel.

mediocre

A good location, near the highway but reasonably quiet. Average sized rooms. No elevator. Air conditioner worked intermittently, running for a while to get the room cool but not coming back on until the room was quite hot. Continental breakfast is limited in a very small room without enough tables or seats. Overall a mediocre experience, at best.

Value for money

This hotel was a comfortable hotel with large rooms. It was a clean room with a good and comfortable bed. I stayed here with my wife and daughter. There was a lot of space for the three of us. The bathroom was clean and large enough. The location was good, near to the highway. Despite the location the room was quiet, we could not hear the noise of the passing cars. So the price quality range was good, indeed value for money.
