Trickle Creek Lodge

The staff were welcoming and friendly. Only found fault with three things 1. We booked Trickle Creek and ended up in the Polaris Lodge - nice but unexpected. 2. The hot tub is a very long way from the door. 3. We did not find the bed to be comfortable. We took our International students on this trip. They had the fireplace going all night, and while they were warm in the living room, the bedroom was cold!

For breakfast, the best place is Our Place on the corner of the Platzel. Awesome and reasonably priced with great service.

Good Locale

Have stayed at this hotel several times in the past (2 yrs prior) the room conditions have deteriorated & was poor. Cleanliness of bed and bathrooms were decent though the rippled carpet and large stain in the living room was unsightly. Sofa and chairs are soiled. Time to upgrade! The rate obtained from Orbitz vs the Hotel or Expedia was about 15% cheaper!

Time to spend some money...

Meal at in-hotel restaurant was barely acceptable, it tasted like it came from a cafeteria. Used to be much better when run by Marriott.

Great home base for our golf vacation

The Lodge is a very quiet, underused alternative in the quieter summer season. It means there are very limited amenities (ie. food and bar service), but it is a short drive to Kimberley and Marysville for meals, etc. The rooms are spacious and modern and have that warm ski-lodge rustic feel. It made a perfect base for our golf holiday, with easy access to the many excellent golf courses in the Kimberley and East Kootenay area.
