The Howard Johnson Inn on the Hill, Kamloops is centrally located near shopping, entertainment, and college campus. The property offers scenic views of the city and river valley. The Howard Johnson's rooms all come with complimentary coffee and tea. Some rooms have balconies, some with views and others with kitchenettes. We have a heated outdoor seasonal pool , hot tub, and sauna on site. Ample free outdoor parking and bus parking available.

Not again!

the beds are way to hard and the pillows were lumpy. A/C mounted in wall was so noisy couln't hear myself think. We had 2 rooms in our group. all 4 beds the same and all 8 pillows the same. Couldn't get into the 1st room day one had to get someone to re-key the card and then day 2 couldn't get in other room the had to re-key that card. It was not dirty but difficult to sleep in. The whold place looked liked it needed a major overhall.

Less than Expected

Although adequate this facility made me think of the heyday of HoJo back when I was a kid...maybe 50 years ago. The facility is aging although it looks like there have been efforts to rejuvanate it.. it still has the look and feel of a 50's generation. The AC was noisy, turned it off so we could sleep; the free wireless didn't work until I went to the office and mentioned it, after a reboot it did work fine. The location was fine. It's near the main junction with the transCanada, lots of other motels in the same area...many looked of the same genera. I was there in July during a relatively hot spell. The swimming pool had two deck chairs in the bottom and didn't look like it had been used all summer. Neddless to say we didn't go swimming.

Entertainment tip: Short drive from hotel

Not to far from the hotel toward the newer developing section, we found a movie theater and restaurants. We at at the White Spot not bad.
