Travelodge Golden, BC
There were 3 of us and we only stayed overnight. The hotel was a little off the beaten path (not on freeway) so a little hard to find. Staff was very helpful. they did not offer the continental breakfast that was advertised.

Cheap for the area, but barely passable
This was our on-the-way-home stop after visiting Banff/Jasper. Just an overnight, happily. No frills, questionable cleanliness (crumbs in the microwave), worn-out and run-down facility, but the cheapest we could find in the area, although I have paid way less for far nicer rooms elsewhere.
