My wife and I stayed two nights in July. It's a decent enough place, but they didn't use to be open in the summers. Now they are, but it is a half-hearted effort.
There was a skeleton crew for staff. We saw one person over the course of two days,
and though she was helpful, she was only in the lodge until 3 p.m.
When problems arose in the evenings, we were on our own.
The amenities were disappointing. The TV and WiFi worked sometimes, the hot tub area was out-of-order, and the coffee area was never stocked.
Maybe this place would be alright in the winter for a ski trip, but a summer visit is a disappointment. It was the cheapest of the lodges a t Fernie Alpine Resort, and I wish we'd booked at Lizard Creek instead.

Short drive from hotel
Need to eat late? Boston Pizza and bar is open til midnight and serves great food. More importantly for my wife, they had an impressive gluten free menu.
