All about location
I've stayed here before- a couple of years ago. Alas- the Canadian Rockies have become expensive- this place is no exception. It is clean, it is in a great location. But in a more competitive environment it would not survive. It is a little past its "best before" date. Spotty internet, no in room phones. The restaurant is really, really expensive. Last time I stayed here they had a great breakfast buffet. No more. Be prepared to spend loads of dough on dining here.

Dine in Jasper or, if you're headed South, at the Columbia Icefields Interpretative Center- located on the Jasper/Banff border. They have a cafeteria and cafe.

Not what crack up to be
Room extremely thilthy. Cups were not washed, slimmy inside. No other dinning choice but the hotel restaurant which is extremely expensive. Food so so.. However, there were free Internet access, which is good.

Convenient location
We made the reservation months ago. We didn't check prices before the cancellation period. We found it half price at other internet sites but it was too late to cancel. When I talked to the management he was lovely and treated us for breakfast. In this economy it was my stupidity for not checking before it was too late.

Good value
The Sunwapta Falls Resort was reasonably comfortable given its rather remote location. However, there is no hair dryer and air conditioning in the room (although the weather was mild in June when we visited). There are very limited dining options (they have a very fancy, but pricey restaurant in the resort). It is about 30 minutes drive from Jasper. In general it's o.k.
