Most notably, the rooms and hallways smell of cigarettes, dirt, and foreign foods that have been microwaved 3 minutes too long. The Continental breakfast passes the test. They do provide Timbits and donuts, as well as coffee fruit juice and fruit. Coin-op laundry in the basement is a deal at $6.50 compared to what other hotels will charge you (~$20). Bed comfort is lacking. My coworker and i started feeling it in our backs after night 3. Nice enough people at the front desk, but this hotel falls just short of average.

Competent, tired hotel
I just needed a place to stay, and this did the trick. Staff were efficient and friendly. Room was fine. Bed was a double, but was OK for comfort. Hotel takes smoking and non-smoking, so corridors smelled of cigarette smoke. The patches and holes in the corridor and stairway walls suggest things must get a little rough there sometimes, but no noise or problems during my stay. Breakfast was simple (toast, pastries, fruit, yogurt in the 'fridge), and the only tea available was green tea. The juice dispenser did not work. No current newspaper.

The Keg and Earls are one block and 3 blocks away. Except breakfast, there is nothing at the hotel.

cheap rate in downtown fort mcmurray. hotel was reasonably clean. breakfast was rubbish.
