Good hotel, bad continental breakfast

The hotel was clean and comfy. However, the continental berakfast was the worst continental breakfast I have ever had. Plus, the lady asked me if I wanted a drink and I said sure, an orange juice so she brought me a tiny glass of orange juice...then charged me $1.70 for it. I though juice was part of a continental breakfast. The food was bad too.

Not bad

Area was little to be desired, there were people hanging around the attached bar looking pretty shady, but it was a place to lay down at night while I was in town for training

Not friendly

We had booked 4 rooms. At check in, one of the designated rooms had NOT been cleaned. It was disgustingly dirty/messy. Hotel staff was impolite to the children. We were given 2 towels for 4 people and when I asked for more bath towels I was given hand towels. The Continental breakfast was very basic, and the baking was not fresh. We were there for 2 nights and I was glad we had lots to do around the city so were not in the hotel much.

Alright by third world standards...

Placed us in a room directly below remodel project that started up at 6a.m. Rude staff, poorly maintained rooms, closed restaraunt. Terrible location close to nothing.

Great place to kick back for a few days!

The hotel was excellent from the start. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful although when it said complimentary continental breakfast on the advertisement you can either get a complimentary breakfast or 5 dollars off the menu which is what we did. Mind you that is only for 1 day, not every day like most hotels. The whole place was rigged with wireless (ask the front desk for the user and pass) which was quite nice or you could use a PC they had in the Lobby. The food was pretty good and the place was never noisy and was quite well kept. The only thing would be the location. It was pretty far from the main attractions of Edmonton but I suppose that is more of my failing than anyone elses for not knowing the area. All in all, I would stay here again.

You have to be careful about the Taxi service. You will get charged an arm and a leg if you are not careful about the route you want them to go. Get a map from the front lobby and if you are going to West Edmonton Mall the cheapest route (about $40 canadian) would be down the Yellowhead Trail. Cheers!
