Banff

We were there six nights for five days at the national park. The staff are friendly and helpful, the location is a short drive from the park and town of Banff. Number beds were great.

The town of Banff has many more dining options than Canmore.

The Good, No Bad, No Ugly

The basic purpose of the trip was to purely relax. That was best done at this hotel and Canmore. We enjoyed our stay here much better than we would have ay Banff, or Lake Louise, which are very beautiful, " but purely tourist traps." Canmore is lovely, good restaurnts, the hotel being one, and a great spa just across the street. [...]dod a fantastic job of getting us there and back. Thanks for the good memories.

Nice hotel

The staff was very helpful when plane problems delayed our arrival by a day. The hotel was clean & comfortable and reasonably priced for the area. My only frustration was that we spent a lot more time driving into Banff than I expected. Although Canmore isn't far from the edge of the park, it's not all that close to the trails or town center.

Great deal on a pretty good room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We wanted adjoining rooms but didn't get them and our air conditioner didn't work. Also didn't like that the pool had a separate outside entrance. Very clean though, and the location was fine. They have sleep number beds which are much different than ordinary beds - they were not the most comfortable.

Sage Bistro had excellent breakfast. Good service and a very nice patio area. They also serve breakfast until 2 pm which may come in very handy if you are not early risers.

pleasent surprise

Great place to stay- very clean, easy access (with a car) to freeway and about 1 mile to main Street. Staff was very helpful and always attentive. Brunch was good, but tended to get stale after 9am. The indoor pool and spa are in a near by building (short 30 steps) and were a great hit with my teens and adults- especially after a full day hiking. Best bett if you are looking to hit Banff (15 min) or Lake Luoise (45 min). I don't ususlly stay put very long, but this time we exstended our stay 2 day.

Very nice dinning in hotel.. but be sure to hit main street and some of the back sidestreets for coffee, treats and lunch. Also, to get the best overview of what to see and do-- book the Lakes and Falls bus tour. about 5 hrs and $80.. and worth every cent.
