Trip to Banff National Park
This hotel is located in a very beautiful spot. We were happy at how easy it was to find the hotel from the highway. We enjoyed the use of the hot tub area. We were disappointed at not having a patio area to just relax at and enjoy the scenery. The staff was very helpful with suggestions for eating and visiting. We were also disappointed at not having a continental breakfast available.

Hotel of the Rockies (Canmore)
To start the experience off, front desk staff weren't very friendly. The room was dusty and there were stray hairs in the bathroom and on the beds. The walls were thin and you could hear everything happening out in the hallways. They were renovating and the hotel lobby and restaraunt didn't look the way they did in the pictures on the hotels website(less fancy). The restaraunt had reduced hours, and closed at 9pm instead of 10, as the dining guide stated. The sunday brunch was decent at least, we arrived early so it was fresh and there was a good selection. Oh, and don't rent a movie, $14.99 for a new release!

Fine stay in a beautiful location
Our stay was perfectly enjoyable, even if the service was unexceptional. Access from the Trans-Canada Highway is a cinch, and the views from our 3rd floor room were spectacular. The room was comfortable, and parking easy. The only blemish was the indifferent service, both at check-in and in the restaurant during breakfast.

A quiet oasis in a overdeveloped area
We arrived late (after midnight) and reservation and room were ready. Nice decor and quiet facility evven though it is being renovated. Comfortable beds and decent size room.
