Sandman Hotel & Suites - Cgy South
This is a very new hotel, that still had the 'new' smell along with it. The rooms are spacious with a bedroom and living area, connected by a small kitchenette with a small frig, microwave and sink. The room also comes with a set of dishes and flatware, not your typical plastic. I was impressed with the service of the front desk staff and other amenities. These included free hi-speed wireless, 2 flat screen TV's and a functioning remote and temperature control. The location is ideal in that it is ~ 15 mins from the airport, 10 mins from downtown and the Stampede grounds or a short taxi to the C-train that will get you to downtown and other points around the city. It is located on the edge of a recently developed shopping area that includes several stores for necessities and groceries, should you get the corporate suite which includes a full kitchen, great for an extended stay. I will definitely stay at the hotel again and will gladly recommend it to friends and others. The price was great and bed was even better.
