Great Place
The hotel was great - exterior might appear a little dated, but the service and interior were top notch. Close to most city center areas, plus can cover a great portion under roof through the Pass 15.

Decent value
This hotel offers good value relative to other hotels in Downtown Calgary. However, the "recently updated" comment on their advertising is misleading based on the room that I had, which was clean, but worn. The three to four block walk to the free C-Train was pleasant in good weather, but probably would be otherwise in winter. The staff was very helpful with directions and advice about local merchants. There was a noticeable, intermittent collection of "street people" around the Subway/MAC's across the street which might unnerve some travelers.
