Great Room

The room was very clean and roomy. The staff very polite and helpful. The location was walking distance to parks and the river trail. The only thing that needed improvement was the food at the hotel café. Not a big deal as their are plenty of coffe shops and other restaurants withing a 3 block radius.

Great room! Average service

Rooms are spacious and nice looking. The service at this hotel was subpar compared to the image it was portraying. Front desk wasn't as happy serving my check in for some reason, wasn't cheerful etc. I used to work at a hotel and would not have been like that. Aside from that everything was all good.

Great room

I attended a business meeting and had breakfast served in the meeting room itself. The staff for the meeting room were all friendly and helpful. The room that I stayed in was spacious and comfortable.

Horseback riding at the Anchor D Ranch was fun and the views wonderful. The city felt abandoned on the weekend.

Great Rooms, location and value

This hotel had really large rooms, two TVs, a wet bar. The drinking vessels were nice glass. The room had a sitting area and a small dining table. It even had an electric tea kettle...very nice to have a cup of tea that didn't taste of coffee. There was a separate bedroom area. This for the same cost of a regular hotel room. The room also had a balcony and a great view of Calgary. The only problem we had was operating the air conditioner...so the room stayed too warm at night. We opened the bedroom window and the balcony door and the room cooled down without the AC. The hotel was within a 10 - 15 minute walk of the Tower where the Rocky Mountaineer train departed. Another plus for us. I would defitely stay in this hotel the next time I'm visiting Calgary.

Highest square footage, lowest price!

Traveling with a family of four, it can be difficult to find large suites with separate bedrooms, especially downtown, but the suites at the International fit the bill nicely. This is not a five star hotel with an immaculate upkeep and service, but it is a newly renovated hotel with huge rooms and nice furnishings, perfect for entertaining friends and family. We loved all the services and amenities in the area including Tim Horton's, Starbucks, The Keg Steakhouse, Thai Tai Subs, the Eau Claire Market and surrounding parks. We will definitely be returning to the International Calgary!

NIce and Central

The rooms were fantastic. The bed excellent. The only area for improvement would be the bathroom, which we found to be very very small, given the room we had for the living room, lounge and bedroom. The staff were very friendly, especially the ladies who were on the info counter for the Stampede. Given that we were there during a major event, the hotel seemed to function without stress.
