Great view but overpriced

We are typical Four seasons/ Ritz guests. We upgraded our room to the Fairmont View, view is exceptional however windows are tiny, room is tiny ,bathroom was a box. Hardly any room to put your things on the sink. For $550 average rate it's a poor room. Hotel staff were great especially concierge. We had breakfast in hotel, overpriced at $30 for a omelette station and usual breakfast food. Banff is beautiful, Town and surrounding area amazing. Stay in town, save a few bucks.

Sooo Pet Friendly

We had a very nice stay in Banff. Beautiful surroundings but the most note worth piece was the "pet friendly" aspect. for $25/night we were supplied with dog bowls, ad dog bed and treats for our Golden Receiver. But on top of that the staff treated her like royalty. Most of the guests also loved to see her, we couldn't walk down the hall without multiple people stopping for a pet. Both our stay and others were enriched. The hotel should really think about having one on staff.

Beautiful

The atmosphere and view was gorgeous. After booking I called to make sure to get 2 queen beds and they offered an upgrade to a suite at a deal I couldn't resist. The customer service on the phone was even outstanding. When we arrived we were shocked at how nice the room was. The view from the balcony was breath taking. The history behind the hotel is also great. All in all I wish we could have stayed longer!!! It was worth every penny!!

Historic and special.

We had a special one night stay at The Fairmont Banff Springs. It is magical and unique. The Staff, without exception, were all friendly, helpful and attentive. Followed advice from previous guests and booked a Gold Room, 5th floor in main building with use of Gold Lounge etc., A perfect experience. Room was comfortable with lots of extra surprises. I had realised the age of the building and respect of original, historic footprint ruled out rooms being extra huge but our room was a good size and compact bathroom had a luxurious modern fitout and large directional jets shower which was bliss. We appreciated our stay as a chance to experience a very historical hotel and it's magnificence and charm.

Trawl booking sites to obtain the best rate for Gold Room and perhaps see if The Fairmont itself can match the best rate.

Great stay

Stayed for three nights on the Gold (5th) Level. I can't imagine coming to Banff and NOT staying at this historic and picturesque hotel. The grounds are immaculate, my room was updated and very comfortable, the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming (and a great source of local information) there are several great options for dining/drinks on site, the spa is absolutely worthy of half a day, and the Gold level afternoon reception and breakfast were quite impressive. I will be back!!

Very good experience

Everything was perfect. I proposed to my gf on the back balcony, with a amazing view. It was worth how expensive it all was. The lounge drink prices were to expensive.
