Quiet and comfortable

Great location outside main part of the city. Huge pool. Great cocktails (2-4-1 happy hour means 2 drinks for $5). Breakfast buffet is average but full of options. For the price, it's a great place to spend your time away from the temples.

Wonderful time in Siem Reap

Our perfect stay in Siem Reap started with a very warm welcome in Royal Angkor Resort. From the beginning, the staff was always very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the amenities were suitable to us. The breakfast is very good, with a lot of options (oriental, american). The swimming pool is fantastic and the jacuzzis are very private.

Charming staff, lovely hotel

The welcome at the hotel is lovely, the staff attentive and charming. A gorgeous aroma of lemon grass and herbs pervades the hotel with the sounds of a traditional xylophone played in the lobby. Clean, modern and efficient. Internet maps, including the one on the hotel's website might suggest it is close to the city centre. However, you need transport to get to the centre of town which is about 10 minutes drive away. There is a free shuttle bus running every 2 hours until 8pm.

Wow! Luxury at an incredible price.

If you have the opportunity to stay at this hotel, DO NOT PASS IT UP! As a traveler tip be sure to avail the hotel staff of your flight travel itinerary or you'll have to catch a cab from the airport to the hotel, otherwise the transfer is free. From the moment we arrived we were dazzled by the classic/asian fusion style of this hotel. The pool was incredible, spa so affordable you'll want to spend every day there, and tour of Angkor wat that they arranged first class. Everything that you expect from a five star, down to the turn down service. I will only say one negative thing: The ceilings are rather thin--we heard the maid upstairs cleaning during our nap after the sunrise at Angkor. Otherwise--happy hour was awesome, spa staff expert and one of the few places you can get a western manicure in the east. Stay here if you have the chance. You won't regret it... ans so cheap to boot!

See Angkor Wat at sunset to be truly dazzled. You get the place practically to yourself and it is truly awe-inspiring. You can come back to the hotel for breakfast and a nap too!

Royal Angkor Resort

Very comfortable, quiet, and full-service resort hotel. It has old world charm and service. My affordable superior room with a balcony overlooking the pool was absolutely the best accomodation in southeast Asia on this trip. The pool area was well maintained and a great place to relax throughout the days and nights. The breakfast buffet was surprisingly stocked with all of the Asian and Western breakfast favorites. It is the only hotel that offered BACON for breakfast! What a treat. I also went to the Angkor Wat complex and Lake Ton Le Sap during my visit here. This hotel is centrally located for easy access to all major tourist locations. I will be returning to this resort next year.

It's really nice hotel!

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were about to experience something special. The world class service, stunning ambiance and attention to detail were second to none. We arrived in a battered tutu and were treated as if we were royalty. Every conceivable element of our stay was faultless, the concierge was simply outstanding

Best Hotel In town with Superb Service!!

We stayed in a suite, consisting of two bedrooms, one converted into a lounge. So two bathrooms. It is a rare luxury! This hotel is really very good. The staff is numerous and attentive. Reception very personalized with a welcome drink, very comfortable rooms and the whole place very clean. The breakfast is rich and varied, the restaurant excellent. The hotel is located near the airport and temples, Closed to the city centre. This is a really great price / quality ratio. We highly recommend it.

Excellent Service, Fantasitc staffs.

We stayed for two weeks and were blown away with the attentive staff and excellent customer service. A huge swimming pool with plenty of sun beds, good sized, clean rooms, a great location and a smile from everyone you meet. We have been lucky to have previously stayed at some great hotels such as, the Burj in Dubai, Raffles, Shangri La's, Four Seasons and many major branded hotels across the world, but I have to say the was by far the best. The service levels at this hotel make the others look like grumpy amateurs... When using the restaurant if the kids didn't fancy anything on the menu, NO PROBLEM, the chef would do his best to accommodate fussy eaters and as long as he had the ingredients, he would make something special, for both young and old alike ! You are only 10 mins away from the centre of Siem Reap by a $3 Tuk Tuk ride or the hotel's free shuttle bus, where there are many additional restaurants to choose from. The hotel's Tuk Tuk drivers would even wait for you and take you back when you are ready. You are only 10 - 15 mins away from Angkor Wat and 10 mins from the airport, in a great peaceful tranquil location. The whole team of staff from the cleaners, door men, pool boys, receptionists and waiting staff to the management were attentive, helpful and interested in you without being pushy or over bearing - they all seemed to be very proud of their role in making your whole experience memorable. My kids are fussy and even before we left the hotel they were talking about when we were returning - my wife has already started looking at next years dates to ensure we can get booked in ! We can not explain fully in writing how marvelous our stay was - truly a unique experience from a hotel whose whole DNA is about making the guest feel welcome, at home and part of the family by offering them a customer centric service that we have never experienced before. Well Done !
