excellent rooms and superb service
We arrived in the evening, and the staff was very accommodating. The rooms are modern and clean, and appear to have been updated recently. The room was larger than we thought, and we were surprised to see that it had a countertop stove (though we didn't use it). The staff spoke English but also was willing to indulge our broken Portuguese very politely. It was a great experience over all.

The hotel was beautiful, all 17 floors of the place. The pool was on the top floor and was very clean (also very small). The room had a full kitchenette and was nice and clean. If you aren't from the area, it is very hard to get to the hotel driving a car. (if you aren't familiar with the area; in fact, if you don't speak portuguese, I wouldn't recommend it). My biggest complaint was that although the employees there were very friendly, they weren't from that part of the city, and therefore knew nothing about that area.

Long walk from hotel
If you like Pizza, you need to go to the pizzaria Orca. It was phenomenal.
