You may want to try the Marriott

This is my 9th time to Brasil. I have stayed in all types of hotels and had much better service from budget hotels at 1/3 of ... the price. Most hotels in Brazil pride themselves on service. This one mainly caters to people coming from the international airport. They are not as good as a typical Brazilian hotel. They had trouble with the orbitz reservation for our last night and charged me for the last night and it took a long time to straighen out, so we had to take a taxi from the hotel instead of the shuttle to get to the airport on time. The drinks at the lobby bar are very expensive. Overall the hotel is clean. My Orbits price was about $40 cheaper than the regular price. I would stay again if I needed to stay near the airport, but I might just chose the Marriott across the street. I thought the Casear business would give better service, but now I think not. The staff also was not knowledgable about the cost of a cab to a nearby restaurant that they recommended. My business associate spoke with the GM also about the fact that my bed the first night did not have the right size sheet on it. I was short sheeted!!! What did the GM do to make up for this? Nothing! Also, my associates room needed to be changed the first night, becuase the main power switch to his room wwas busted in the wall. They put him in a much better room in the front tower.
