Great place for our 28th anniversary

The hotel is in a wonderful location on the beach..We did have a king suite and it was worth the money as everything is expensive in Rio. Every morning and evening we spent time on the balcony we had, looking at the beach and enjoying a drink. The staff was wonderful they help with restaurant reservations and linging up drivers for us. There are no ice machines, however, all we did is call room service and they brought buckets of ice to us. I would definetly request a higher floor due to the noise on the sidewalks and traffic. I would definietly stay there again. from the hotel we were able to walk the beach, find place to eat, sit and have drinks on the beach. the breakfast buffet that is included in the room price was very good.

Two Nights in Porto Bay Rio

This hotel is a good hotel for Rio. There is nothing exceptional about it but it checks all the boxes. Its comparable to a Holiday Inn in any beach city in the US.

GREAT PLACE TO GO WHEN IN RIO

people were nice here. room was very nice.breakfast was also very good.hotel has beach access and they give you an umbrella and beach chairs.i will stay here for sure next time i go to rio...coppacabanna is a rip off for there lunch buffet.mark.l

Rio:PortoBay

Portobay is in a good location.Rooms were always kept clean and the service staff were very helpful. [...]Price was too high for the quality of the hotel. You can stay at much nicer hotels for the same price hence an average rating.

great place with good service

we arrived early and the registration was fast. the room nice with a view to the ocean and the mountains. very friendly staff. we went out at nite and felt safe. the staff on the beach great.best of all, free bycicles.

Highly recommended!

Service was excellent. Location was right by Copacabana beach. I felt the area was safe. The hotel rooms were clean, the pool was nice, and we even had chocolates on our pillows each night. I am glad we chose this hotel for our stay.

Good price to quality

I fly frequently to Rio and I am really excited of finally having found a great option: great quality for the value, good beds, great location, and excellent service... if you go in business this is a centric location and you may even have time to jog around copacabana..

Very friendly staff with good

Very friendly staff with good service. could have changed the sheets in our six day stay, but that is the only thing I would have changed.
