Carnaval @ Rio
Spending Carnaval in Rio was amazing and staying at the Caesar Park in Ipanema was the best option. It is located in front of one of the best beaches in Rio, near several restaurants and where street parades happened. The hotel has excellent service at their restaurants and at the beach. The room was very spacious and the bed was awesome.

The really ugly
The hotel needs complete refurbishing work and staff would need to be replaced almost entirely. Bad management in all sectors/services and terrible facilities/rooms. I would not return even for half the price paid during last stay at this hotel.

Great Location if you like Ipanema beach
I don't want to say that the staff is unfriendly or not nice, I just found the staff, overall, to be very gloomy... No smiles, no hellos. The mood is very somber. And the rugs in my $400 a night room are extremely dirty..

Great View - Rooms need updating
Besides the Copacabana Palace, Sheraton or Fasano, this is the best place to stay in Ipanema, in the best part of Ipanema near Posto 9. Location-wise it is better than all of the above. Been staying here many times since 2002. Still has a great location, great views, and best gym with a view in the world. Hadn't stayed here since 2004, and the rooms looked the same, so needs updating. Staff are as always friendly, courteous and helpful. A rio classic, please make sure you get a room in the front with sea view, and avoid rooms on the side on the lower levels as it can get noisy from the street. You cannot beat the location and the view so enjoy!

Please have juice everyday at the nearby Polis Sucos (ask concierge) located near the interior. And go for a daily run on the strand-promenade to leblon and back, followed by an agua de coco (coconut water) in front of the hotel on the beach.

Great Location - Ok decor
Don't expect a Hilton or Marriott even at the high rates and 5 stars, but think it's the best of the other hotel choices. It's beach area so I guess the hotels in Rio don't have any pressing need to upgrade their facilities. We walked around the city, ate at the neighborhood resturants, hit a club in the evening, toured Cristo, and a day at the beach. Ladies no matter what your looks or weight is this is your opportunity to wear a bikini. Me and my friend were the only ones (I mean it) in full bathing suits.

Time-saving tip:
In Hotel
the latest checkout is 1 pm. Hotel will allow you to use gym, pool, and spa facilities even after you checkout. Showers and lockers available and they'll hold you bags. So if you have a late flight you can still enjoy the day in Rio.

Very accommodating
The Caesar Park Ipanema is situated in a very scenic part of Ipanema. The beach is a stone's through from the front door and the view is breathtaking. The room offers beach front views, and has excellent restaurant facilities for both business and personal. The room are very clean, roomy and offered any and all amenities that might be of need for the traveler. The hotel has a well-equipped business center on the first floor and an excellent exercise room on the top floor. In general the staff speaks fluent english, is very professional and accommodating to your every need.

Location, Location...Location!!
The Caesar Park Impanema in Rio De Janeiro is an OUTSTANDING hotel. The Hotel is in the BEST location on Impanema Beach. The staff is extremely freindly and very helpful with all aspects of the hotel and city. The best part was that you can walk out the front door and cross the street and your on the beach!! The hotel has beach chairs, towels and umbreallas free of charge for guests. The (1) and only thing I did not like about the hotel was that the beds and pillows were not comfortable. Overall at Great hotel in an amazing city!!

1)If you go to the beach make sure you go to the hotel cabana to get a chaai and get a towel from the hotel. 2)The hotel offer a car srevice to major attractions(IE: Christ The Redeemer, Sugar Loaf Mountain...etc.) It was a little expensive but worth it because the car waits for you while at the attraction.
