Really nice stay
It is a really nice hotel..!! big rooms!! next to the "rua das pedras", the pool area is also nice, small but nice! ;) but the best of the hotel is the staff...they make you fell at home... "how do you like your eags ?", " Is everything ok in your room?" ... "can we help you in anything... " (and they really help hyou out..!!! ) The only thing that could get better is the breakfast, for a 4* hotel...something is missing... :(

Great little boutique hotel
Very tasteful pousada with fantastic views to the ocean in the distance. Simple yet sophisticated. Lush tropical setting, Delightful staff (Giselle, Xavier, Alexandre). Everything kept very clean. Pool is not heated so of somewhat limited use from June through November.

Long walk from hotel
No matter what your income level, Brazil is totally overpriced for what you are getting. I would say the prices are about European. A burger meal at McDonalds is R$16 which is almost USD9.00, double the US price. The best values I found in Buzios are Restaurante do David, Buzim and Bananaland. Buzim has very good comida por kilo. Large, 2 story place. Bananaland is small but good.

small deluxe buzios possada
my laptop did not work with their wireless, but worked at the possada next door. others with laptops had no problem. nice , small and private. no resturant, and you need a taxi or car to go to the beach or town, or its a long walk.we had a car so no porblem for us. small and lots of privacy

Beautiful clean rooms, lovely poolside
I was immediately taken aback by the lush green surroundings of the hotel as well as the beautful pool and cabana area. The staff was very friendly and a great breakfast is served every morning next to the pool. The rooms are very large, clean and fresh. I would definately stay at this hotel again and recommend it to others.

Quaint, quiet, great service, close to town
The Porto Bay Glenzhaus was a beautiful, quiet hotel within walking distance to Buzios Centro. The hotel staff was always very helpful but at the same time non-invasive. The breakfast included was fantastic with a beautiful presentation of fresh fruits, breads, meats, and cheeses and also included champagne! Guests could ask for eggs to be prepared if they wished. The pool area was very nice but it is not heated so the pool is quite cold. All of the rooms have a large sitting area separate from the bedroom and a very large deck. The more expensive rooms have a view of the bay (but we were in a cheaper room and had a view of the foliage which was also nice.) The only minor complaint is that the air conditioner in our room seemed to do nothing to negate the humidity. We could not lounge in our hotel room. The lobby area was very nice with an array of magazines, books, computer with free internet access and a bar. Overall, this was a fantastic hotel with great service but next time I would book a more expensive room for the view!
