Its sad this this the best Recife has to offer
Ive stayed twice here. This a conveniently located hotel close to the airport and in front of the beach. Lots of business trainings, small conferences. If you stay here ask for a room with a view to the beach. The back part of the hotel has a view to the next building. The hotel has not been very well maintained and is now starting to show its age. If you come from overseas expect something like an old 3 star hotel. If you come from Brazil, you will probably think this is a good hotel. Do not book on their webpage they charge too much. Better on orbitz or something.

The hotel has great breakfast, very friendly bartenders in the small bar at the lobby. This is the only good things to write. The place needs a good renovation. They charge R$15 for daily Internet usage ($10 US) all other hotels are usually free. Upper floor windows are shaking and noisy at night. Air conditioner is a game of hot and cold... Rooms are not always cleaned. They have a metal light switch panel at your head built into the bed. Excellent way to accidentally turn it on and off, also to electrocute yourself.

There is an Italian restaurant down the street 3 blocks walking. Excellent food of large variety shrimp and pastas.

A FUNNY EXPERIENCE
I KNOW THIS HOTEL FOR MORE THAN 15 YEARS, BUT NOW, THE HOTEL DON'T RENOVATE AND THE ROOM INSTALLATION ARE OLD, HYDRAULIC SYSTEM NOT WORKING PROPERLY. AS YOU KNOW, AT CHECK-IN WAS A SERIOUS INCIDENT, THEY DO NOT RECOGNISE YOUR RESERVATION, AND I WAS OBLIGE TO GIVE MY CREDIT CARD TO COVER ONE NIGHT, (BUT I DON'Y SIGN ) IN ORDER TO CONTACT YOUR COMPANY, THAT AFTER A FEW MINUTES THE PROBLEM WA SOLVE. AT CHECK-OUT, THEY SAY THAT ALL WAS CLEAR AND I HAVE NOTHING TO PAY, TODAY I HAVE A SURPRISE, WHEN I CHECK MY CREDIT MASTERCARD ACCOUNT, THERE WAS A CHARGE FOR £ 115.00 THAT WAS FOR THE FIRST NIGHT. BUT I DON'T SIGN ANYTHING AND IN THE CARD STATEMENT THEY SAID THAT WAS SIGNED ( NOT TRUTH). I QUERY THIS CHARGE, AND I EXPECTING NEWS FROM THE BANK
