IMPORTANT: Children under 18 years old are required to present identification at check-in and must be accompanied by both parents, guardians, or have permission of the Juvenile Court, in case of travelling with others. In case one of the parents is not traveling with them, they must show his/her parent permission to travel with the person accompanying them.

- Area description
- It is located at the Historical Site of Salvador and is part of the Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. It is in Largo da Palma (Palm Place) so called for being chosen as the home of several Spanish families that came from Palma de Maiorca in other times. The place holds a dispute during the colonization period in its history when Spanish and Portuguese took the city united under the same crown, in 1625. The area preserves its colonial aspect up to date because of its houses and manors and the Church of Our Lady of The Palm, a 17th century building with baroque works of important Brazilian artists in its interior, thus being an interesting cultural attraction of Salvador. The historical beauty of Largo da Palma also has picturesque attractions such as the house of Dona Flor, which was used in the film "Dona Flor e Seus Dois Maridos" (Dona Flor And Her Two Husbands), a worldwide success movie adapted from a book by the internationally famous Baiano writer Jorge Amado.

The hotel was a wonderful respite to the huddle and bustle of Salvador. Unique decor with high ceilings and great Italian restaurant. Shower (weak) and spotty internet the only downsides.

Great Service

An Oasis
This is a really nice hotel. The people at the desk speak English and are super nice and helpful. The rooms are great, with air conditioning and all the amenities you would expect at a 4-5 star hotel. We spent a night here after returning from Morro do Sao Paulo. We had spent several days in Salvador prior to our trip to Morro and were familiar with the Pelourhino. We decided to stay in a rest up for an early trip to the airport the next day. Many of the Pousadas in the main/tourist part of the Pelourhino are not nearly as nice as this. It is really hot in Salvador in December/January and air conditioning is nice to have - but not available in all hotels. The only negative about the hotel is its location. It is just outside of the tourist area of the Pelouhino in an area that I would not be entirely comfortable walking in. The hotel does provide a free shuttle to the heart of the old town which ameliorates this problem.
