I made a reservation through [...], and got all of my confirmations through [...], but when I arrived, the hotel had no record of my reservation and charged me more than the originally quoted price when I arrived.

Fine.

Definitely not a first world four star, but it is fine. The rooms could really use a good scrub down. The TV and phone in my room didn't work, the shower door repeatedly fell off despite apparently being repaired, the closet door wouldn't close, and the internet was frequently down. Definitely a general lack of attention to detail. The other bothersome thing that the Manager should really fix is the maids' constant, loud chatter in the hallways. At 7:00am it's as though they are attending a party...in your room. A few positive things are the sheets, towels and the food, actually, which was quite good! The staff are kind of listless and take a long time to warm up to you. This city could really use a verifiable and consistent four star hotel.
