Friendly Staff
Patrick Jun 18, 2007
Hotel Italia has a very friendly staff and is located near the main bus and train stations in Sarajevo. Unfortunately the ... pool and spa facilities were not in operating condition when I visited, which was somewhat disappointing as the hotel made a concerted effort to include these amenities in its advertisement. The beds were a bit firm for my liki9ng, but overall the hotel was a good value for the money and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, answering my questions and making suggestions for places to visit. Please remember when you visit Sarajevo (whihc I strongly recommend) that this city is still recovering from a devastating war and there are still obvbious reminders of the devastation to be seen everywhere. It is a tremendously friendly city wiht a history that goes back centuries. The Hotel Italia helped make my stay inSarajevo all the more enjoyable.

The main bus station and train station are only five to ten minutes walk from the hotel, and about the same distance away is a tram station that will take you directly to the main part of the city.
