The rooms are large is size and decorated very tastfully with handmade Bosnian furniture. Part of the rooms have wooden floorboard - part have carpets. The curtains are in Italian style and the bathrooms are simple but clean and tidy.

Hotel Italia has a very friendly staff and is located near the main bus and train stations in Sarajevo. Unfortunately the pool and spa facilities were not in operating condition when I visited, which was somewhat disappointing as the hotel made a
concerted effort to include these amenities in its advertisement. The beds were a bit firm for my liki9ng, but overall the hotel was a good value for the money and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, answering my questions and making suggestions for places to visit. Please remember when you visit Sarajevo (whihc I strongly recommend) that this city is still recovering from a devastating war and there are still obvbious reminders of the devastation to be seen everywhere. It is a tremendously friendly city wiht a history that goes back centuries. The Hotel Italia helped make my stay inSarajevo all the more enjoyable.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
The main bus station and train station are only five to ten minutes walk from the hotel, and about the same distance away is a tram station that will take you directly to the main part of the city.
Good value clean and decent hotel but not convenient for Old Town.
It’s clean and decent with friendly helpful staff and very good value. Old style, heavy, furniture. There is some traffic, but it’s not a noisy location. The suites can be very large indeed. WiFi is free and generally works well.
typically Balkan with fresh rolls, reasonable range of cereals, some fresh fruit, orange juice (not fresh) and an omelette if you want one. Ask nicely and they’ll make you a macchiato, but may change extra.
There are a couple of big supermarkets 5-6 minutes walk away. It is not convenient if you want to explore the Old Town. Would suit someone who has been to Sarajevo before and knows their way around and is happy to walk 10 minutes to catch a tram into town.
