Beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel but poor location. Hotel offers a ferry into Hamilton but in winter it only runs 3x's daily. The last one leaves the hotel at 5 arrives in Hamilton at 530 and returns at 6. Not ideal if you're looking to have dinner in Hamilton. Rooms were spacious and well kept. Tv coffee maker were excellent but a lack of mini fridge was off putting. Overall a great hotel and would return.

Excellent Hotel
Lovely hotel over looking the ocean and or harbor. Very convenient trolleys to the bus stop for exploring the Island or to the complementary ferry to the City of Hamilton. The food was excellent especially Bocci, their Italian Restaurant. They have trolleys to their private beach and tennis courts with complimentary towels, chairs, showers, restrooms, Nearby there is a public beach that is magnificient.

great view, great hotel
my friend and I spent 3 nights at this hotel over the xmas holidays, and we really enjoyed our time there. the staff was overall very friendly, and hotel provided an array of activities (movie night, live performance, afternoon tea and pastries, free yoga classes). A bit of a walk from the hotel to the main road/beach, but there was a trolley that took you to the beach/tennis court. great view. highly recommend it!!!

food quite expensive there, check out Market Place (quick taxi ride, around 10 bucks) for groceries to pack lunches if you're not into dining every meal.

Amazing value
Got hotel for $129 a night. When we got there, we were upgraded to a deluxe room. Pictures are exactly what the hotel looks like. Pool was nice. Beds were super comfortable, 50 inch plasma TV in room. They brought a fridge and microwave so we could make our own food. Guests don't have access to the indoor pool, spa, and workout facility unless you either pay or are a gold member (I think). At 6:00pm, all guests are allowed to use indoor pool. Beach is a 5 minute walk down a nicely gardened path or you can take a free trolley. The beach is beautiful- private, chairs, towels- and water is crystal clear; we went in first week of december and water was 72 degrees- a bit chilly at first. Overall, amazing value and a wonderful time.

We used CEO travel service for roundtrip service to and from airport to hotel. Friendly, fast, and 15 dollars a person so for two people, it is the cheapest way to get to your hotel.

Off peak week long getaway
If you do not mind a big hotel this is definitely the place for you, and even if you typically like small boutique hotels this is a very good option. There are also families in the hotel however it is easy enough to find places to get away from the kids if that is what you desire. The staff are incredibly helpful, accommodating, and friendly. This hotel was service, service, service as well as having great views from the rooms, one of the best diving centers on property, a great private beach, excellent snorkeling, indoor and outdoor pools, an excellent outdoor jacuzzi, some of the best restaurants on the island, and a complimentary ferry to Hamilton throughout the day. Can't say enough good things about our experience at the Fairmont Southampton.

Eating out in Bermuda is expensive even when you find a deal. Don't try to beat the system as we found the high cost of the restaurants on property ended up being less expensive when you calculate in the quality, time spent in transit, and the cost of transportation.

My vacation
I was considered it as a luxury hotel and overall I'm enjoyed my stay there. There were some minor issues. Several concierge staff were not knowledgeable or misinformed. They said that public faeries don't run on the weekend but we found out that they do. They gave us incorrect public bus schedules. Nobody told us that we get to call to the front desk to get picked up from the beach by the hotel trolley when there is no staff at the trolley staff. Complementary coffee is only available until 7 a.m. - lucky if you are a vampire))) Now the positives. High class surroundings, lobby, room, and service. The room has complementary coffee which was very nice. On certain days the hotel provides a complementary tea and cookie time with live relaxing piano music. The hotel has a free ferry to Hamilton. When selecting your transportation from and to the airport, a taxi will cost around $37, a shuttle arranged by the hotel cost $15 per person, a bus either $2 or $4, and private cars are the most expensive. There are outdoor and indoor pools, and 2 outdoor jacuzzi's.

best vacation ever
overall experience was amazing. staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. bent over backwards to make our stay perfect. golf was great. beaches were great. was not aware that this is off-season - so things were a little slow on the island - which probably was a good thing. weather was in the low 70's - DID NOT GET MUCH COOLER AT NIGHT - mid 60's (due to gulfstream? - warm ocean waters). food was as good as it gets. waterlot inn was the best restaurant within a hotel i have ever eaten at. the on-grounds southhampton golf course is a par 3 course - but don't be fooled - 18 quality par 3 holes - one hole was 218 yds / slightly uphill. and into a 25 mph wind, i needed driver. 3 great golf courses within a 10 minute drive of the hotel. port royal is as good as it gets - better than any other course i have played in the caribbean - including teeth of the dog. riddell's bay and belmont were immaculate - though short. only negatives - not a cheap vacation - but if money is not a problem - this is the place to go for a completely wonderful experience. will definitely go back. other negative - hamilton is NOT a charming little tropical paradise city - more like a business center than a quaint tourist sight. did not see many children - no real children parks - though beach and pool were children friendly. but no amusement parks, etc.
