Bermuda Trip
Our experience was great at Cambridge Beaches perfect place to stay at Bermuda so far. We like the fact that they had scooter rental service with in the resort itself. Very friendly staff, cleanliness at the best.

Great time at Cambridge Beaches
It was a slow time, so we got upgraded to a cottage with a water view. It was really lovely. Staff were all very very helpful and pleasant. Grounds well kept. We rented mopeds and buzzed around Somerset, and also put them on the ferry from Dockyard to Hamilton and rode to St. George's. Good get-away!

Try the mopeds, even if you think you can't! I'm 59 years old and had never done it - and it was fun!

Wonderful Winter Weekend Escape from NE
Outstanding personalized service from every member of the staff, from the warm welcome at check-in to the "farewell and come again!" as we left. We enjoyed the serene setting, the world-class spa, and the variety of activities. The only (slight) disappointment was the food service, with a very limited off-season menu and hit-and-miss service from a cobbled together dining staff.

Rent a bike on-site, take the ferry to Hamilton, then ride back to the hotel on the rail-trail, stopping at the beaches, forts and lighthouse along the way. Wonderful way to spend the day!

Amazing experience
We came out for a short trip (4 nights) and were amazed with the resort. The location is great if you are not interested in the Hamilton nightlife every night. It is a ways away from the commotion of downtown, but is only 3 miles away from Dockyard, where there are lots of activities, and you can jump on a Ferry to get to Hamilton or to St. George. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, housekeeping stops by twice a day to clean and refresh your room, the breakfast is great (we ate there every morning), the afternoon tea is nice, the view from the rooms is beautiful, and the pools and hot tubs are nice and relaxing. If we go back, we will definitely stay here again!

Four night stay early July 2012
My wife and I loved this place. It was mainly a vacation for my wife - I had some work to take care of in Hamilton and St. Georges, but some down time as well. We each rented a scooter from Oleander on premises. This - plus the scooter/ferry combination - opened up the entire island to us, and was fun to boot! Great staff, excellent food - we had breakfast delivered each morning - quiet/peaceful. Single glitch was a barbecue special our first night. We had an 8 o'clock reservation (it went to 9 PM) and they were out of several foods - most importantly the ribs. Other than that it was perfect. If you're looking to just hang out and relax it's ideal. If you want to get out and have a wider choice in dining, then we'd recommend scooters - which were I think USD154 each for three full days (plus USD15 for gas) for the two of us, and we drove quite a bit). Would definitely go back!

Obviously we like the scooters. But I went somewhere almost no one goes - Cooper's Island in the NE end of the island in St. Georges Parish. Used to be where the NASA ground tracking station was - now a nature preserve. There are four of the most beautiful pristine beaches there I've ever seen; I mean MAGNIFICENT! One (Long Bay) has lifeguards. No amenities, so take your own food & water, etc. Trust me - it's worth the trip!

Great resort to relax and soak in the sun!
After dodging Hurricane Sandy and spending 12hrs on the phone with United Airlines to try and keep my 1wk of vacation this year from evaporating into thin air, we flew in on the (literally) first flight into Bermuda after the storm shut down air travel along the East Coast. Immediately, we knew we'd picked the right place to get away. I'm from Seattle, and the beautiful crisp sunshine, warmth, and emerald sparkling waters we saw on arrival were such a contrast to...rain...rain...rain. The island is quite breathtakingly beautiful, and Cambridge Beaches was the perfect place to stay on this mid-Atlantic jewel. Wonderfully friendly staff, great individual cottages with views of the ocean (perfect for watching the sun set and rise), beaches on the property, three restaurants (expensive but in line with the other establishments in Bermuda), and with scooter rentals right on the property. There's free breakfast buffet, free afternoon tea, and a host of activities (both organized and impromptu) that you can try out. The spa and fitness options are also extensive and, for the former, expensive. In general, this is a great place for a romantic getaway, and most of the people we saw were coupled together, from the young to the very old and likely also very wealthy. I thought the resort was terrific, and I'd return in a heartbeat. The only downsides were a) Cambridge Beaches is located on the opposite end of Bermuda's 22mile length from the airport, and the cab ride will cost $60 each way; alternatively there are buses that will get you there in about 2hrs with one connection in Hamilton; and b) Bermuda itself does not offer much besides sun, golf, and beaches; don't expect much in the way of museums or historical sites.
