Amazing experience
We came out for a short trip (4 nights) and were amazed with the resort. The location is great if you are not interested in the Hamilton nightlife every night. It is a ways away from the commotion of downtown, but is only 3 miles away from Dockyard, where there are lots of activities, and you can jump on a Ferry to get to Hamilton or to St. George. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating, housekeeping stops by twice a day to clean and refresh your room, the breakfast is great (we ate there every morning), the afternoon tea is nice, the view from the rooms is beautiful, and the pools and hot tubs are nice and relaxing. If we go back, we will definitely stay here again!

Quiet and secluded and gorgeous
Beautiful and quiet location. Hotel is slightly dated but well-kept. We were looking for a quiet vacation, just wanting to relax with no pressure. Gorgeous views of ocean from anywhere. We had dinner one night on the beach and watched the sunset. Staff very nice and attentive. We are looking forward to going back same time next year.

Short drive from hotel
Short taxi or moped ride away from the Dockyard where there's a few restaurants, gift shops as well as the National Museum where the views from the fortress are incredible. Also Snorkel Park is there too...fantastic snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boats.

Not what we expected
This was our once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon vacation. We would not have been able to afford Cambridge Beaches, if not for a huge gift from the in-laws. We researched this trip heavily and thought we had chosen the right place. The "5 private beaches" we read about were actually 3, and hardly beaches. The water was still and very shallow - up to our knees at the point where the seaweed rug in the sand began. We wanted to swim, and these were more like wading pools. The resort property was beautiful, our waterfront cottage was immaculate and charming, and the staff was incredible! They may be the most patient people on the planet. Our fellow guests were less than cordial, at times downright mean to the staff. That set an odd ambiance for our meals and common areas in the resort. The breakfast was great, the dinner on the beach very romantic (aside from a photo shoot for new promo materials happening in front of us at the point of sunset). Overall, we had fun, but would not stay here again. Elbow beach, Fairmont Southhampton, and Coco Reef all looked fantastic as we passed by on the bus and stayed the day on "their" beaches.

Buy a bus pass for the week and get a bus schedule! It's easy, cheap, convenient, and the drivers are safe and helpful - WAY more so then those death-trap-on-wheels moped drivers!

Wonderful Winter Weekend Escape from NE
Outstanding personalized service from every member of the staff, from the warm welcome at check-in to the "farewell and come again!" as we left. We enjoyed the serene setting, the world-class spa, and the variety of activities. The only (slight) disappointment was the food service, with a very limited off-season menu and hit-and-miss service from a cobbled together dining staff.

Rent a bike on-site, take the ferry to Hamilton, then ride back to the hotel on the rail-trail, stopping at the beaches, forts and lighthouse along the way. Wonderful way to spend the day!

Great time at Cambridge Beaches
It was a slow time, so we got upgraded to a cottage with a water view. It was really lovely. Staff were all very very helpful and pleasant. Grounds well kept. We rented mopeds and buzzed around Somerset, and also put them on the ferry from Dockyard to Hamilton and rode to St. George's. Good get-away!

Private and romatic excellent views
The resort is very nice and secluded. It's far from most activities and sites on the island. If you're looking for a private romantic getaway this is the place. If you want to tour the island and be in the thick of things it's out of the way and taxi fares add up quick.
