Ocean view.Beautiful location Helpful Staff

All rooms face the beach and ours was ~ 20 yards from the ocean and a clean, great beach. We could hear the ocean at night - very relaxing. Room was clean and spacious but a little outdated and could have benefited from screen doors. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The hotel is a short walk from bus stops and a grocery store. There is a small fridge in the room. 15 minute bus ride to Hamilton and from there to any other bus line on the island. Coco Reef is first choice on our next visit.

Entertainment tip: Not Applicable

We took a 5 hour tour of the island with Heidi. She is a treasure and kept us entertained the full 5 hours, from one end of Bermuda to the other, sharing her detailed knowledge of the island's architecture and history. If you stay here ask Steve to arrange the tour with Heidi. Everyone on the island seems to know everyone else so even if you don't stay here ask for the Heidi tour.

Coco Reef was great!

Our week at Coco Reef couldn't have been better. Rooms were comfy, staff was wonderful, beach and ocean were beautiful. Restaurant was slow on our arrival. We were told that the chef is a perfectionist and that accounted for our long wait for dinner. Two lunches there later in the week were speedy. Front desk staff was helpful in making reservations, tee times, calling taxis, recommending restaurants. We did have a slight problem with ants invading our bathroon - no idea where they came from or what attracted them - but cleaning staff took care of it for us. It would have been nice if the hotel was closer to the bus stop.

Died & gone to heaven!

For a senior widow (athletic type) this place was more than picture perfect (sleeping with gentle sound of surf, etc.) Tho' my purpose was to attend a Bernudian pillar's funeral I thought I was in heaven - does Leonard Cohen sing there? The view from room/balcony postcard perfect - beach what we'd call excellent & uncrowded. Layout Italianate lovely but not overscale - friendly, casual, sweet! Seriously, it was rough to leave - as other guests echoed. cc PS - I've been going to BDA for 60 years so I care...

Wonderful Bermuda Vacation

Our six family members had three rooms at Coco Reef, two of which were adjoining. All rooms were attractive and very comfortable, equipped with coffee makers and small refrigerators. We requested a microwave for one room and the helpful staff brought us one right away. We awoke each morning to a beautiful ocean view, which we enjoyed as we ate breakfast on our back patios. Because a well-stocked market was within two blocks of the resort, we were able to purchase groceries for breakfast and snack lunches, which made our stay more economical. The beautiful private beach was a short walk from our rooms, and we were within a block and a half of the bus stop, which we often used for transportation to sightseeing destinations throughout Bermuda. The Coco Reef front desk staff was a great resource for booking golf tee times, snorkling adventures, and dinner reservations, as well as providing sightseeing recommendations. We enjoyed every aspect of our Bermuda vacation, but our guided tour of St. Georges, the view from the top of Gibbs Hill lighthouse, golf at Fairmont Southampton Golf Club, and dinner at Fourways Inn were among our favorites.

nice beach

Other than a few recommendations to the hotel - like more path lighting, fix the steps that lead to the beach, and install a heater for the pool, etc. the place was very nice. A bit pricey - but so is the whole island. It's small, private, and close to a convenience store. Off season is best!

Romantic getaway

My husband and I wanted to getaway and enjoy each other. This hotel exceeded our expectations. They described the room as beach front and that is exactly what it was....Outstanding views and the staff was so accommodating and very nice. We had everything we wanted out our door, had no need to go exploring....can't wait to go back!

Outstanding location

Coco Reef is a great find in Bermuda. While the decor may be a bit dated, the room was very clean and comfortable and right on the beautiful beach. Listening to the waves at night was just wonderful as well as watching the sunrise from the balcony. The food at the restaurant was very good, the bar has a beautiful view of the ocean, and all of the staff were excellent. I would definitely stay there again.

The Paraquet Restaurant is just up the road and open every day. No alcohol is served, but the food is great "diner like" fare. Very welcoming staff.
