Whether you are looking for a romantic wedding, honeymoon, anniversary or just a getaway from the crowds, a spell of renewal or a stepping stone to adventure, we can cater foryour needs. Only twelve rooms in 2.5 acres of landscaped gardens, fronted by 250 feet of private beach and hiding the only bird sanctuary on the island. Caribbean Villas has been designed with conservation in mind. The bird sanctuary is one of the few remaining areas of original littoral forest, unchanged from the times the buccaneers buried their treasure here. The water heating issupplemented by roof top solar panels. Irrigation is from rainwater catchment tanks. The rooms are designed to catch the cooling trade winds to reduce the need for air conditioning. Stay with us and be at peace with nature. There is a 300 foot private dock from which you can snorkelover our artificial reef, lie in a hammock or catch your tour boat to adventure. The tour boats will pick you up from the dock to take you snorkeling, diving, manatee watching, cave tubing, visit Mayan ruins or to one of the many romantic waterside restaurants situated along the shore. Tours, golf cart rental and bicycle rental can be booked in advance or at the front desk after you arrive. Golf carts are restricted on the island so we recommend you book in advance. Caribbean Villas Hotel is located a little more than one mile south of the quaint town of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. Our Catamaran Beach Bar serves tropical drinks, ice cold beer and snacks. Our in-house wedding consultant can assist with all aspects of a destination wedding in Belize, from legal documents, to catering and flowers. There is a USD 20.00 extra person fee for a fifth person staying in the lofted suite and a third person staying in the one bedroom suite.

Perfect Beach Location

Caribbean Villas sits on the sandy beach surrounded by Palm trees about 1 mile from central San Pedro. They have the sailing sports concession with lessons right there with Hobie Cats, wind boarding, kite boarding, kayaking etc. This was the friendliest place that I have ever been. Even teenage boys at the "cool" age smile and say "Hi" all the time for no ulterior reason such as selling you something. CV did have 2 draw backs. First, the Palapa Bar serves complimentary cooked to order breakfast and a minimal lunch menu, they do not serve dinner. Second, the rooms have underpowered air conditioning. The bedroom is comfortable for sleeping, but the front room is very warm (from Oregon). Right from the CV pier, we embarked on several excursions - Lamani Mayan Ruins, cave tubing/zip lines, snorkeling the barrier reef, and fishing the barrier reef. It could not have been more convenient.

Dinners must be arranged off site. The restaurants we patronized ranged up to about 2 miles away. CV can arrange a golf cart rental. This is highly recommended.

I want to live there.

I have read a review of a guest that had stayed at room 12 and hated because there is no balcony. Well, I was in room 13, in the back with no balcony and I loved it. I think the guest forgot to mention how much she paid for her balcony-less room. We were very pleased with our half price room in the back. The reservation website mentioned the location at the Northeast of the Island, when in fact is the hotel is in the Southeast of San Pedro. Lost, I made a call and the hotel sent us a complimentary taxi to pick us up. Friendly, polite and accommodating staff in a place very relaxing with lots of space for the number of guest, so you feel you are at your own Villa. If you care about how much you pay for food and drinks, be aware that the little restaurant/bar they have by the pool have very reasonable priced menu and good quality simple dishes for breakfast and lunch. I am looking forward to stop in San Pedro again to unwind at the Caribbean Villa.

Don't get room 12 - use caution when reserving.

We booked this hotel thinking we would have an open patio w/ one bedroom or loft...those were the two choices we saw. Once we got there, we got the crappiest room of all. It was a studio with hardly an ocean view as the door was recessed behind the staircase. The "oceanview" was through the glass in our door. The shower didn't look clean since it had dark grout stains, windows opened to the back area and were dirty/dusty. Wall mounted AC was not that quiet. Bed was clean though and confortable. My negative review of this place consists only of the room type that we had, otherwise it's in a good location, the staff were friendly, Tony and Luis at the bar were awesome, and it’s an easy 10 minute walk to San Pedro Town along the beach. So if you’re interested in this hotel, be sure to confirm with the hotel to NOT get room 12. The other rooms (upstairs or the opposite building) with similar plan at least had a large window next to their front door.

Awesome awesome awesome~!

Super friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful location and loved the solitude of being nestled in a bird sanctuary~ Dragonflies, all kinds of birds and butterflies, friendly kitty that joined us each night on our ocean view patio. Went for a Dive with master diver Junior from Ecologic dives. He picked us up at the pier of the Caribbean Villas and was an amazing instructor, especially given my travel partner was apprehensive and unfamiliar with diving. He made it a great experience for her and she was completely confident and relaxed with their compassionate expertise. Can't thank you guys at Caribbean Villas for a most wonderful experience~ Private beach, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable villa rooms with kitchen, nice pier with steps so you can go for an ocean dip and see the nurse sharks, (totally gentle creatures), and large rays that swim by there from time to time~ Unobstructed and private view of the ocean and moon lit sky there~ Walk the beach south to find two very convenient grocery stores, (well stocked). Walk the beach north to make fast way to down town San pedro~ Five stars out of Five for me~ I will definitely want to stay there again when I go back~ They were supper helpful helping set up and plan trips to the mainland of Belize~ Enjoy the complimentary rum punch they give you at the beach side palapa with voucher when you check in. Nice also that they arrange you cabs and bring your luggage to and from your room while checking in and out~

Caribbean Villas

We felt like we had the best beach access in San Pedro. The hotel gave us a room upgrade with beachfront view. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and the entire trip was fantastic. I have already recommended this hotel to others.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Do NOT shop at the larger markets that appear to be, (and really are), quite American. They are extremely overpriced. Shop at Marina's instead.
