Recently renovated boutique hotel in lively theater area
The Theater Hotel, entirely renovated and reopened in 2009, is ideally situated in the heart of Brussels. The hotel combines character with comfort and affordability. The Theater Hotel offers a warm welcome to business and leisure travelers alike, with a cozy lounge and an outdoor terrace. The Rue Nueve shopping center, business district, and historic attractions are all within walking distance. Free wireless Internet access is available.

Great service but mediocre location

I picked this hotel bc it was listed under a travel website as a super convenient location off the Midi Station via metro since I was traveling alone with my two children from Paris. It was easy to find, the service was good, and the rooms were very roomy. (We had a family suite at a great price under US$100 inclusive of a descent continental breakfast.) Only drawback was that close to the evening, the area became a red light district with many transvestite prostitutes roaming the street corner. Not exactly family oriented. Everything in Brussels is close in reach by foot or metro, so overall, it was a great travel experience but I would probably choose a different place next time if I come back.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

[...] the elevator is tiny & not always working so pack light coz we had to climb 4 stories three times a day! Very tiny, cute patio to sit & relax on the 1st floor by the reception desk as photographed.

highly recommend - a surprising find - huge clean rooms, far better than 3stars would lead you to expect. A nice ample free breakfast. in red light district which is not terrible (people on street so actually you feel a bit safer) but probably a factor if you have kids.

Very nice and clean rooms, plenty

Very nice and clean rooms, plenty of TV channels in several languages. Breakfast was basic but OK. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's just been opened a few weeks ago, so there are some minor things that have to be changed but the management was very open for suggestions. The only down point might be that there are quite a few prostitutes in this area. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Zimmer

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Zimmer mit sauberem Bad und großer Dusche. Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einziger Nachteil ist die Umgebung mit dem ältesten Gewerbe der Welt in der Straße. Trotzdem war es im Zimmer ruhig und störungsfrei.

Petit hôtel charmant, malheureusement

Petit hôtel charmant, malheureusement situé dans une ruelle consacrée à la prostitution. Ballet de voitures et coups de klaxons garantis jusqu'au petites heures.
