Perfect for a business trip

My business took me to the European Parliament for which this hotel is ideally placed. The hotel itself was exceedingly pleasant with a very contemporary decor and appeal. The hotel is also quite close to several of city's mass transit options including the light rail and a handful of bus lines. I never had to call a cab when I wanted explored more of the city. Should my business take me back to Brussels, I won't hesitate to book at this hotel again.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

There are plenty of restaurants at or near Place Luxembourg in the one direction and at a little further walk, on Troone, there were plenty of bars to enjoy any of the local brews.

Great Radisson

Although this Blu was not the one near the train station, it was still excellent. We liked the free WiFi and the size of the rooms

Radisson Blu EU Hotel, Brussels

Great hotel, very helpful, courteous and attentive staff; good food in the restaurant, if a bit overpriced. Desk and waitstaff appear to all be tri-lingual - at any rate, their English is better than my French! Great location, very easy to reach from the airport. On weekdays, take the 12 bus; weekends, it is the 21 bus (one floor down from the arrivals hall, then out the doors toward parking and take a right around the barriers and walk about 100 meters; your bus is in row C). The fare is € 3 if you buy the ticket from the GO! machine in advance (coins only!); if you buy it onboard the bus from the driver, it will cost you € 5. Get off at Place de Luxembourg, and the hotel is about a block in front of you. Save yourself some cash - currency exchange at the airport gives almost 10-15 cents less on the dollar than the current exchange rate, plus they add a transaction fee. The desk clerk at the hotel can do the same, and it will cost you about the same. ATM machines, on the other hand, use inter-bank exchange rates, and most do not charge a transaction fee (or a very small one, if they do). There is a Fortis Bank with ATMs located conveniently in Place de Luxembourg as well as a GO! machine (not easy to spot, kind of small and orange). Enjoy!

A very nice hotel, we heard it

A very nice hotel, we heard it was walking distance from central station which is not true at least not with big bags. Staff were very friendly and helpful and room was immaculate. Near a good square for tasting all the beers Belgium has on offer.

Typical Radisson hotel in EU quarter

Typical Radisson hotel in EU quarter close to Luxembourg Square. A bit further out than others but good transportation links to centre by bus or metro. Only complaints were very expensive parking which should really be subsidised by the hotel and room was very hot. Breakfast was good but again expensive.

Comfy, convenient to public transport

Reception staff helpful with transport and sightseeing. Modern hotel with comfortable rooms and beds, relatively quiet and out of the center but convenient to museums and center of town.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Take either the 21 or 12 bus from Brussels airport to Place Luxembourg near the Luxembourg train station and walk a very short half block to the hotel. Cost 4 euros. Or train to Nord station and transfer to train stopping at Luxembourg station. Read yellow posters with train schedules near all tracks to make sure train stops at Lux. station. Cost 5.50 euros

awesome

the location is great, staff is nice and speaks english very well. the hotel is relatively new, so all of the furniture and amenities are in a trendy somewhat futuristic style. i thought it was very cool. the furniture and sheets seemed kind of cheap, but the trendiness of the rooms more than made up for it, plus, I only spent $50 for the night which was way worth it. I expect this hotel to be at least $100 per night. It was really nice. the bathroom was also awesome, it has a bathtub and a shower separate, and a cool futuristic sink. awesome. Also, there is no clock in the room which is a downer.

Good weekend rates

I have stayed here several times, always on the weekend after business meetings and while waiting for my Sunday flight home. The rooms are not large, but the bathrooms are and the place is as comfortable as I could hope. The free WiFi (not standard in Brussels hotels) is a plus, and it is located near a collection of cafes, bars and restaurants around the Place de Luxembourg. The Luxembourg train station renovations are complete, which can be used as a shortcut to the Gare du Nord station, and from there to the airport. During the week, express bus service runs from one block away.
