Good value for budget traveler with an eye for design

I came in winter so it was pretty and snowy and quiet for the most part, though in the am there were lots of slamming doors and the cleaning crew was loud outside my door. Near the subways but bring your own maps or digital ones, I got lost following the hotel provided one. Good breakfast but way too expensive, Id suggest bring a breakfast bar and find a cafe nearby. Not a lot of open venues around but again it was winter so fine to venture out a bit...that said supplied umbrellas would be welcome! And I know the Pantone color is cute but the dyed napkins and toilet paper seem kind of unsafe? I'd suggest doing more with paint and keep products natural! Thanks

Christmas in Brussels...

Bed too hard. Shower was ridiculous.... Imagine taking a shower standing on a pizza pan while being mugged by the liner and there was no place for soap or anything else. One hap-hazard move & the entire bathroom was flooded. Overpriced breakfast. Very minimalist decor... Not a cushion to be found anywhere. All chairs were hard plastic. No chair in room except for the plastic kind. I do have to say.... The front desk staff was extremely nice!!!!
