This hotel is excellent with beautiful features and rich in style with an excellent location. CG 04/08 Built in 1895, the Metropole Hotel celebrated its 110th anniversary in 2005. This is the only hotel remaining from the 19th century in Brussels. In 2002, the Council of Monuments and Sites of Brussels-Capital Region protected the Metropole Hotel's façade as well as the ground floor. The Metropole Hotel is marvellously well-located right in the historic centre of the European capital, just a few steps from the Grand Place, the Bourse and the Theatre de la Monnaie and close to Brussel's most exciting shopping thoroughfare.

Breakfast is served on the ground floor in a small but attractive room. The hotels restaurant serves renowned gastronomic Belgian food and is also adjacent to the infamous lobby bar where there is a pianist in the evenings.

Thew staff was helpful & courteous. The architecture & lobby were gorgeous. It is close to The Grand Place and a few steps ... from the Metro.

I loved the feeling when I first walked in. The hotel is the oldest in Brussels, and it is very well kept. It is elegant and ... warm. I loved sitting in the lobby bar area drinking a cappacinno at the end of the night and listening to the piano player. The grande place is in walking distance as are many other squares. I would also recommend a walk to Le Sablon. Getting around is very easy the train station (Le Central) is also in walking distance. It was a lovely stay. I was also impressed with the buffet breakfast which was included. The taxi ride to the airport is 40 euro, not bad at all. The train is much cheaper but I had an early flight home. I would stay there again. I loved it.

This is one of the old hotels in Brussels, but it was renovated and still well maintained as being elegant. The cost was not ... expensive at all and the room was kept clean. The location is execellent based on the fact that it is close to main attractions and one block away from a metro. I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
