Nice room, very close to European
Nice room, very close to European Parliament and EC, so very convenient for those with business there. There are a few restaurants nearby, although the general area is very quiet in the evening during the week. A good deal on HotelClub for the room, but expensive breakfast (20 Euros) and very overpriced internet access (15 Euros s day). Nice lobby and bar area, although the latter didn't seem to be open.

I thought this was very convenient
I thought this was very convenient for my purposes - it is situated right beside the European Headquarters. My company paid for my one night visit - lucky becasue the charge was €185 for a room that didn't include breakfast! They charge €20 for breakfast! I'm surprised that this hotel is 4 star. More like a very good 3 star. But happy enough overall.

In general it was a good hotel
In general it was a good hotel for the price, though not quite as nice as I expected. The window to the room had been left cracked in the middle of December, so upon arrival our room was literally freezing and took hours to warm up to a reasonable temperature, which wasn't very welcoming. In addition, the bathroom was not as clean as I'd expect. While it was probably my fault for not reading more closely, I expected the hotel to be nearer to the central area of Brussels - it wasn't far and had the weather been nice, we probably wouldn't have noticed at all but with sub-zero temperatures it seemed like a long trip back to the hotel. The staff was very nice and accomodating.

Dies war mein zweiter Aufenthalt
Dies war mein zweiter Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel, und dieses Mal wurde mir -- nach Ankündigung am Anfang -- auch das Frühstück vom Hotel mit den dort üblichen 20 Euro berechnet: Auch wenn man sich dort reichlich bedient, zahlt man damit das schöne Ambiente gut mit. Außerdem war das Zimmer kleiner und nur für Alleinreisende geeignet -- was bei mir ja der Fall war. (Das zweite Bett wäre nur von der Fußseite her zugänglich gewesen. Außerdem war das Bett-Kopfteil an der Wand demontiert, und man sah davon noch die Spuren.) Auf diese Dinge hin angesprochen, sagte man mir an der Rezeption aber für das nächste Mal zu, mir wieder ein Zimmer wie im letzten Jahr zu geben. Trotz allem bleibt dieses Hotel als das Neueste in dieser strategisch günstigen Lage (Bahnhof Schuman und EU in Sichtweite) eine gute Adresse, sollte aber darauf bedacht sein, sich diese Chance zu erhalten, indem es Gebrauchsspuren rechtzeitig beseitigt.
