A stylish 4-star hotel with an Art Nouveau heritage
Hotel Le Dome is a stylish, four-star hotel in the center of beautiful Brussels. The hotel, built in 1902 at the peak of the Art Nouveau movement, incorporated many Art Nouveau influences. The hotel, while completely renovated, has retained the historic charm from the era of its birth. Today Hotel Le Dome provides guests with luxurious accommodations and service, all within easy reach of the historic Grand Place, shopping and business areas, and the European Union buildings.

The location is great and thankfully we only stayed one night. The beds are bad, pillows are even worse and we got a non-smoking room that had the smell of death.

Not an Enjoyable Stay
I stayed at Le Dome for two nights; I booked the room due to past reviews and location. However, the lack of service and amenities made the stay disappointing. I found the staff to be cold and annoyed by the guests; during the check in process the staff member barely made eye contact with me and did not speak to me directly- not even to say hello or confirm my room number. Later, when I asked for the password to the wireless internet, she mumbled it, again without eye contact. When I asked her to repeat it, she glared at me and asked if I needed her to write it down or could I possibly remember it. I didn't appreciate that as a guest in the hotel. The rooms are basic with no frills; my room had two beds pushed together with a firm mattress and lumpy pillows. The room was very large with plenty of space to move around, and the bathroom was also spacious and clean (but very dated- not a modern bathroom!). Free wireless internet is only available in the lobby; you cannot get the signal from the guest rooms. I heard street noise and sirens all night long. Location is great- a 5 minute walk to Brussels Nord and a short walk to shopping and sightseeing. All in all, I won't stay at Le Dome again. The hotel did not meet my expectations, and I won't go anywhere that I feel so unwelcome again.

good hotel, very good location,

Broken chair in room with a protruding
Broken chair in room with a protruding nail which subsequently ripped my trousers. The decor is chipped and faded and it seems that the whole hotel suffers from a lack of maintenance and investment. This is a shame as the location is good.

As usual room was very nice, service
As usual room was very nice, service at both reception and in the breakfast room was very efficient. Staff are friendly and the baggage room and service are both secure and user friendly. The front area of the hotel waiting area is nice and quiet kept in very good condition. The proximity to Rogier Metro and the easy walking distance to Grand Place is also a considerable plus as is the easy access to taxis just across the road. All in all another good experience. See you again.

Rooms are reasonably large, well arranged and equipped with kettle. Beds in double room could be king size, rather than twin beds. The room heading for backyard was quiet yet very cold in winter. Breakfast was excellent.

No car parking facilities and no drop off zone infront of the hotel. Local private parking varies from 16 to 22 euros per day. Good position for walkabout.
