Epic Fail

This hotel is not as pictured or desctibed. The mattress was a plastic hard mattress with penetrating steel coils. The Tv was over twenty years old by look and did not work. The mini fridge was rusted out on the inside. The tile and grout were also rusted out in the bath and the walls were molded. I was so disgusted I left early in the morning of my first night and paid to stay elsewhere for my second night in Brussels.

Good for the money

Personnel extremely helpful (note: I speak French fluently). The room was so so (quite a few bulbs missing), but clean: The buffet breakfeast was excellent. There is an elevator. I didn't have a car, but parking seems to be a problem. If you're not too difficult, it's worth the money.

Close to train station and metro, but in a residential neighborbood near a school.

Ok pour un très court séjour

Bonjour, Je recommande cet hôtel uniquement pour les séjours très courts. En effet, la chaleur dans la chambre était insupportable et le rideau du vélux tellement abîmé que nous avons dû dormir avec la lumière des lampadaires la nuit et la lumière du jour le matin. La salle de bain était minuscule et pas très confortable. Un seul lot de serviettes pour deux personnes. Petit déjeuner correct mais il faut en arrivant récupérer des tasses sur les tables d'à côté, une cuillère par-ci par-là.

The listed original price of more

The listed original price of more than 200 E can only be pure phantasy; the ca 50 E paid through [this website] are more realistic - considering that Brussels hotels are notoriously expensive. The run down place has a stellar location, but that one of the wool blankets was actually molding is unforgivable. How this place slipped into the list of "thumbs up" recommendations of this web site is a mystery to me.

Positif : Tranquille mais près

Positif : Tranquille mais près du centre ville. Chambre correcte pour le prix (69€/nuit, en single mais grand lit). Petit déjeuner Buffet très correct. Négatif : 1 des 2 receptionnistes ne parle pas français et impossible de téléphonner à l'étranger de la chambre ni de recevoir un appel (il faut descendre!!!)
