The direct connection to Central London with Eurostar Train (1.49h), the high speed Thalys train connecting with Paris (1.25h) and Germany and Nederland makes Midi Station direct connections to all the cities in Belgium. Direct train to Brussels International Airport (20 min), shuttle bus to South Brussels Airport (1h), Underground station (10 min. from all the European institutions), Tram station (15 min to historical center), local and regional bus station are other transport ways that Midi Station offers. Great hotel, especially if you are traveling through Brussels-Midi train station.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was great. Hotel is on a busy road right across from train station but even with my room on the 1st floor i never really heard the trains or the buses or the street traffic due to the thick windows. Good beds, too Definitely recommend it to anyone.

The mobile truck selling frites right near the Port de Hal at night has THE BEST frites in my opinion.

Excellent Hotel Across From Gare du Midi
This pristine hotel is located a three minute walk from Gare du Midi. The neighborhood appeared very seedy but never seemed at all dangerous. The front desk personnel were very helpful. The room was modern and spotless and had good air conditioning.

This is a very nice hotel in a not so nice neighborhood. The hotel is modern, clean and well appointed. However, we returned home to find an unauthorized charge on our credit card. We had prepaid for one night through [...]with no additional charges. Yet, someone tried to get an extra 60 EUR off our card. An email to the hotel to resolve the matter went unanswered.

POUR : - lit très confortable - SDB WC impeccables - grande propreté - grand silence - un fauteuil et deux chaises - lumières bien disposées - le rideau masque entièrement la lumière du jour - le mini bar refroidit correctement les boissons - personnel disponible - accès sécurisé CONTRE : - Wifi payant (12 €) - Parking souterrain payant (20 €) et sans accès individuel (il faut sonner) - mini bar VIDE !!! - pas de micro ondes - pas de bouilloire - ni thé, ni café offerts - chambre (403) trop petite (30 m²) - clef électronique d'accès au fonctionnement peu fiable - table fixe et ridiculement trop petite - lit un peu trop petit CONCLUSION : Prestations inégales mais encore loins d'un Suite Novotel (pourtant une catégorie en dessous) ou d'un Radisson Blue.
