Exactly what I wanted
The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because some of the furniture and the carpet was a bit old and beat up -- something that I don't mind personally but which may take away from someone else's experience. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I asked for a food item to be microwaved and they brought it back to me on a nice plate with silverware. The location is fabulous - you are a very short walk to chocolate shops, museums and great restaurants. I knew ahead of time that the hotel itself is a little tricky to find, so I studied the map well enough that I found it very easily. Bed is super comfy. I will surely stay here again should I be so lucky to be in Brussels.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
There's a little hole in the wall convenience store up Rue de Sablons (turn left at the corner of the intersection where all the shops are) up about 2 blocks on the right side of the road. You can get great Belgian chocolate candy bars and other snacks and goodies for a very good price.

Great stay
The staff was really pleasant and helpful - for example, I bought a snack that needed to be heated up and he (I think his name was Fernando) graciously ran back to the kitchen, and in moments my snack was presented to me warmed on a plate with fork, knife and napkin. The room was comfortable and clean and the hotel is very conveniently located to a nice neighborhood with restaurants, chocolate shops and walking distance to great museums. The only reason I held back a star is because the furnishings (carpet, tv, chair) were a bit old and beat up and could use updating. I personally don't mind but some people might. I would definitely stay there again!

Acceptable for a weekend
Very near Central Station but a challenge to find (even locals had a difficult time placing it), and even more of a challenge to get to when carrying heavy luggage, as it requires going down a set of stairs from one street level to the next, then up a hill and around back to the hotel. Not inconvenient to Grand Place but a bit of a walk. Hotel staff was cooly cordial, which appears to be the norm in Brussels. The room itself was clean but we were very surprised to find that the double bed we were supposed to have was merely two twin beds pushed together; for that reason alone I will look for something else next time I vist Brussels. Free internet was nice.

Great Location - staff does not match up
Great breakfast bar for the price. Staff at front desk could be more professional and knowledgeable. Short staffed. Otherwise clean and perfectly located.
