Brussels Marriott
Very nice hotel. The staff was excellent. They were extremely attentive to our needs and helped with directions, arranging taxis, recommending restaurants, etc. The location was very good, accessible to the subway and the main plaza.

Great Location
Hotel is situated close to the Grand Place and there is a Metro stop right out in front. Staff was very friendly and informative. The only problem I had was a lack of parking during check in at the hotel.

IF NOT THE BEST:
It's very close to it. We stayed there just before Christmas and he was perfect for what we wanted. Two blocks to the Grande Place and everything in the area. The service was fantastic with a superb concierge lounge. Put it high on your list!!

Avoid the tourist traps. Not necessary in the Grande Place but just outside the Place. You know them when you see them.

Be Careful
I came in for an overnight stay to meet friends who were in town that week and also staying at this hotel. My check-in was easy and the staff was quite pleasant. I was persuaded to pay an extra 49 euro for one night, for which I was to get internet access, executive lounge access, and breakfast the next morning. While that would seem to have been a good deal, in real life it did not work out so well. My friends who had been staying there all week were on the quiet side of the hotel; I was put on the noisy side, with people partying and yelling quite literally all night right below, meaning I got little sleep. My big mistake, though, was going to the restaurant for breakfast instead of the executive lounge as apparently I was supposed to do. For that mistake I was charged an additional 50 euro - for a waffle and coffee for me and a piece of bread and cheese for my partner. At check-out the desk clerk was deeply unsympathetic, although at least pleasantly so. Marriott's tact appeared to be to maximize the amount I spent for one night there, rather than worrying about repeat business.
