Great location

Martins is a very basic hotel. Rooms are small but you absolutely can't beat the location right behind the Bell Tower and the Markt area.

Perfect location

The location was perfect, very close to the market. Staff were lovely and the room was very cosy however the safe was broken and remained broken the whole visit therefore I had to carry all valuables with me! Someone walked into our room at 8am one morning (felt uneasy after this whilst sleeping considering the safe was broken) however this was just my experience, the hotel and bar was lovely and I would consider going back if the problems were fixed

One of the best locations in Bruges

We have stayed in Bruges many times over the years and in Martins in the earlier years. We had forgotten how convenient it was to stay in the heart of the city. The hotel staff are very pleasant and those in the bar and reception speak good English. Our room was small but adequate however there were only 4 coat hangers on the rail and nowhere else to store clothes so we had to leave most of them in the case. In common with many Belgian hotels there was no kettle in the room, so we couldn't make a drink in the morning. Breakfast was good, the usual continental meats and cheeses, croissant and pastries with the addition of scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. All in all a great place to stay when visiting one of the nicest European cities.

great location

The room and double bed is very small. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel, no view to speak of, but quiet. The fully enclosed shower was a treat. The location is very good. Right next to the central market and very close to bus transport to and from the rail station.

great place to stay in Brugge

This hotel is located close to the core area of Brugge and therefore easily to visit must-see spots in the city. The staff is very kind and helpful dealing with problems that we had and solved them quickly. The room we lived on the fourth floor is very cozy and we enjoyed a lovely night at the Martin's.
