Excellent boutique hotel
The hotel is beautifully kept and the rooms are amazing, clean and comfortable. We stayed in the ocean view junior suite and that was definitely a perfect choice. The sunset from the room was phenomenal. All the water sports are included and that was fun. The hotel staff were very friendly and warm. The location is also convenient to all the west coast has to offer. I woul definitely stay there again upon our return to Barbados.

Fantastic stay, would love to return
Loved our stay. Room was tucked into a courtyard overlooking the pool, but we still had a view of the ocean. Steps from the beach. Property had great areas for lounging, comfortable chairs in grassy areas, near the pool, and on the beach. Attentive staff, helpful. Clean all around, and rooms were spacious and clean. Loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat.

Tamarind Cove - May 2010
We loved the location of Tamarind Cove. We rented a car and found it a great starting point for seeing the sights. The roads are narrow and signage is a problem but the island is small (14 miles by 21 miles) so it is hard to get lost for long. We enjoyed the beautiful beach and great snorkeling (equipment included in room rate). We also got the breakfast plan which was a delicious buffet with custom omlets if you wanted one. The staff seemed bored and a bit angry. We had to search out information about the hotel and surrounding area - no one volunteered this and when we asked we got very short answers. I know they want you to eat at one of the restaurants on site (very pricey) but area information would have been so helpful. The managers cocktail party was good and [...](the new manager) was very friendly. He has a big job ahead changing the staff attitude which I understand are union employees. They will also be starting some renovations. I found the place charming and very clean with only a few spots that needed some attention. The computer room and water taxi were a pleasure (also free). A long time guest told me that they are going through a change of staff and many are not happy. Too bad they allow the guests to feel the friction. The off season price was excellent and we enjoyed our stay. This was definately one of the nicest trips and the Tamarind was a good part of that.

Head to Holetown for dining. Surf Side had good food, right on the beach and good prices. Angry Annie's was a bit more expensive but had great food.

Great vacation experience
This 5 day trip was amazing. Barbados was gorgeous, our Jet Blue flights were spacious and the hotel was wonderful. Tamarind Cove is located on a calm, crystal blue sea on the east side of the island. There are three pools and unlimited water sports. This was the biggest draw for me and my fiancé. We did waterskiing, kayaking, sailing etc and this was all included with our hotel. It would have cost us a fortune if it wasn't included. The front desk staff, concierge, restaurant workers and bellhop were very kind and polite. We knew most of their names by the end of our trip. I would definitley recommend Tamarind Cove.

Peaceful Living
We had a great time. The hotel was clean, quiet & relaxing. The hotel staff was very helpful - especially the concierge & security guards. The front desk staff was not as attentive to our needs/request. They did not know who our 'Rep' was for [...] and once they found out, we still did not receive a visit to set up excursions. I never rec'd my prepaid phone card and the front desk had no knowledge. Once I got over the fact that the phone card was a lost, we had a blast. Dining was good. The chinese restaurant across the street was cheap and plentiful. The little buses were a 'trip' to ride on. The natives do not harass you to buy their merchandise (yeaaaa) We got around the island easily on public transportation. The beach is a little rocky but further down the beach it is smooth. Water is beautiful; weather is nice, resort is pretty - just peaceful living. (There seemed to be a majority of older couples here - mid 50's and up during our vacation.)Resort is not for kids.

Not Applicable
Skip the dinner cruise. It was a waste of money. I was thinking of an enclosed ship w/ air conditioning and then upper decks outside etc. It was white resin deck table/chairs w/ a tablecloth. The entertainment was okay but after awhile, the gyrating dancers doing the limbo became repetitious and monotonous.
